So dumb question, are all AX210 cards (the M.2 card, that is) manufactured by Intel?
I'm looking to start upgrading wifi at my place, starting with a 6E card in my laptop, and I'm not sure if it matters which AX210 I buy.
Obvs I need to get the right key, but does it matter which brand?
Are they actually different brands?
Or are they just different packaging?
I've seen a few different listings for this card:
Gigabyte GC-WBAX210 @ mwave $68.99
OKN WiFi 6E 5400Mbps AX210 PCIe @ Amazon $44.95
Intel AX210.NGWG @ Mouser Electronics $33.75
Wise Tiger AX210NGW @ Amazon $42.99
I assume that with the Gigabyte and OKN they're using an identical AX210 under the heatsink, as seen in the previous Gigabyte GC-WBAX200.
They're all the same. Only difference is the stuff surrounding it: for one, the Gigabyte one takes the M.2 card from Intel and slaps a PCIe adapter on it plus antennas.
If you want to swap out your WiFi card in your laptop, go for the cheapest one. You don't need all the extra stuff that comes with it. Be prepared, however, to solder in the old antennas to the new board.
