Recently purchased an Apple TV and I want to set up stereo pairing with my existing Homepod. However, Homepod is now discontinued and second hand Homepods are so overpriced. I'm wondering would it be worth buying another two homepod minis for stereo and pair them with my existing homepod. Or maybe I should wait for the Homepod 2nd gen?
You can't "pair" them and treat them as a single output but you can AirPlay to both of them simultaneously, which temporarily groups them. They then appear as a group on your phone etc and you can change the volume of all the speakers with the master volume control or control their volume individually.
I have three HomePods and two HomePod minis.
