$2.98 5 pack Asianfoodstore in the west

  • Thanks OP

  • Or $4 for pack of 5 at Woolworths today which is cheaper than my nearest Asian store. Is it just me or the one sold in Woolworths vs Asian are bit different eventhough same packaging. I feel Woolworths one are harder and the seasoning isn't that strong

    • -1

There are 2 types. Cheaper one is made in Chi-na and Woolworth's one is made in Korea

      • +2

The last costco ones I bought were made in China. I can't tell the difference in taste, but prefer made in korea for quality.

  • Hi op, do you have picture of full catalogue? I can’t find on Costco website for tomorrow

For Shin Ramyun, there are 2 different product of origin
Make sure you buy the one that is actually made in Korea, like the Woolworth's one
You will find the cheaper ones in your local Asian store are made in Shanghai, Chi-na.
    I can't find a Korean flag on Costco's catalogue thumbnail as Woolworth's

    • +3

Always bought from Costco and it was made in Korea.

    • +3

The ones I bought for the local Asian store is Korean made too.

      • +2

ya, my local one stock both, with the Korean one more expensive.
Just make sure to check the fine print every time.

    • +2

Good luck, I guess there is a chance they'll actually be genuine Nongshim and therefore ok for human consumption.

  • Anyone seen Shin Light anywhere?
I got a box from a Costco in Sydney last year but haven't seen it again since.

    • Just ask Costco to check the computer
