Looking for a Charcoal BBQ

I’ve seen a few on eBay but can’t decide what I should get. I’ve already chucked out 2 that didn’t last more than a month.

Any suggestions?

Awesome. Do you have a question?

I’ve already binned 2 that didn’t last more than a month.

I find this hard to believe. Even if you dunk them in water for a month it'd still survive.

    • I had that one. The charcoal sits low and doesn’t produce enough heat.

Then, don’t get a charcoal one? You have options E.g. gas or electric?

Or, you could get another charcoal one (and repeat) and expect a different outcome… you are sane… right? 🤔

  • Considering the effort, I wouldn’t bother. I have a Weber Q, pretty happy with it. I do like the taste of charcoal but I’ve never been successful even with the kettles.

  • I have Weber kettle. They are sturdy, easy to lit with fire starter, and relatively easy to clean. Cleaning is the only the downside with the charcoal BBQ, so i would consider buying Weber Q next time as mentioned by SirMurduck above.

  • I have a Weber kettle since 2014 and still going strong. Can recommend

    Second hand weber kettle.

Akorn Kamado BBQ from Bunnings. It’s insulated so it holds heat. Can use it for short cooks or long, slow cooks.
