  • 50c Tim Tams!!! I chose a bad time to start a diet!!!
I sometimes use that Woolies, so thanks!

These are what are known in the retail trade as 'loss leaders.' They're designed to get you into the store at which time you'll (they expect) buy a basketfull of other items that are most definitely not a deal!! That's why they have timed availability throughout the day and you can only get to buy one 'loss leader' on any visit. No deal!!

The majority of them are limits of 2. It all depends on your level of will power and if in fact you do need to purchase something else in the store while you are there, or just walk in with $1 (for 2x pkts Tim Tams) :)

Sounds like you would still be complaining if they gave stuff away!

Everyday there are loss leaders for crap on OzBargain. Everyday so many people seem to buy toothpaste rollers or whatever, give their personal details away to receive future emails of wonderful offers of crap bound for landfill, and are grateful.

It may be more useful preaching to those buyers. But surely anyone who has ever shopped should understand 'loss leaders'- its not a secret. The OzBargain way is to use those strategies to our advantage.

At least there was JB HiFi with special deals, free upgrades at KFC, & other retailers offers in this centre's deal.
I see nothing wrong with grabbing a couple of packs of TimTams etc while looking at the other deals, right in the middle of the city. And free parking if you spent $40/$65 at Woolies. City parking can be expensive.

Not a deal - bah humbug!

I was happy to see this deal, thanks beccy_babe!
