What Brand TV for Kids Room

Looking for small tv for daughters bedroom, i did buy a fire stick on prime day i was going to add to whatever tv i got, but i just may use it on another tv in house instead.

So im probably looking for a smart tv probably 32 inch maybe 40 inch at push.

What brands are good in this range?

Tcl? Hisense? Falcon.

I almost went for an Hitachi 32 inch from tgg with there 20% off but there was a number of reviews said sound was poor. And tgg was only place who was selling it.

It was going to cost $279 that was with 20% off.

I see jb hifi now has 20% off tvs one day only, to be honest even a 24 inch might be ok for daughter but its not smart tv.

Something that might last her a few years.

Some i was looking at are and with 20% off:

Hisense 32S4 Series S4 32" HD LED Smart TV [2020]
$316

FFalcon 32" SF1 Series HD Smart TV [2020]
$183

TCL S615 32" HD Android Smart TV
$252 only has 4 reviews

FFalcon 40" SF1 Series Full HD Smart TV [2020]
$279 but size is maybe getting little big size.

TCL S625 43" Full HD LED Android Smart TV [2021]
$316

There is then the tvs from Australia post, aldi etc

its only for kids i am guessing kids younger than 16 yrs old ??

I'd say buy a cheapo from Kogan

  • TIL kids have TVs in their own bedrooms.

    Was I underprivileged?

  • Whatever is the cheapest and best bang for buck from JB, AustPost, Aldi, whatever. It's just a kids TV and something that I'm guessing won't be much chop in a couple of years anyways.

Another option is - look at price/warranty period. The only justification I can think of for a situation like this.

My take - no TV at all.

I wouldn't even get that. It's ok to put a TV in a family room, but kids should get used to no devices in their rooms.

I sold our last TV in 2007-ish. We only have a projector in family room for movies. Kids (if you can call 16yo and 18yo a kid) are now indifferent to TV. Unfortunately I same strict with other electronic devices and lost that battle.

  • Changhong or nothing

  • Upgrade main tv, move old tv to kids room.

    • Old tv is too big and is a plasma that’s from probably 2009 or before and its in our bedroom, one in cinema room is a 3D tv I’m happy where that is and not ready to go 4K yet.
One in other lounge is a cheap target tv not a smart one which I might upgrade sometime but still works so not too bothered. Will upgrade this to 4K but not sure when.
Kid has a small tv she has had since young and wanted to treat her to a new one for her birthday her current has built in DVD but that’s like 8 yrs old now.
