We all know cashback can be very flaky and not track for a variety of reasons.
I have hence completely changed my buying routine whenever I plan to use cashback. Instead of going via desktop, I will for such cases:
- use the CR/SB app on my mobile
- disconnect from WIFI and only use mobile data
- make sure the full transaction is executed within the app itself
- take a screenshot at the end
So far I this was very successful, leading to a tracking rate of 100%. This has now suddenly stopped and my last three buys using the Cashrewards app have all not tracked (admittedly, one of them was a non-affiliate buy from Aliexpress, but I believe this would normally still track as a purchase, but then either have 0% or be rejected).
Given that I have not changed anything in my process, it seems that the CR app has gotten less reliable and I am starting to think to maybe just give up completely on cashback as the hassle is starting to be much more than the benefits.
Is it just me or did anyone else notice that purchases are not tracking reliably anymore in the CR app recently?
Update: Based on the replies, there does not seem to be a general issue with the app, so might just be me.
No issues on my end with my last three purchases (T2 yesterday, Adore Beauty Sunday, Pizza Hut a few weeks ago).
