Mine's been pretty good. Just got the first chip when I smacked the edge of a laptop into it.
What I like to do is put a stubby holder on. Provides protection against dings. Makes it bulkier though.

Been using mine for ages, between laptop bags, gym and outings. Not much issues at all.
But my son in kinder has one (480ml) which is pretty bruised. It has dropped probably a hundred times but just scratches at most. No chips.
In terms of wear I think they're pretty solid. The only time we spoiled it ourselves was when we sterilised my sons bottle inclusing the plastic top with boiling water. That made the inside plastic bend a little.

These are great! no spills, the mouth piece is very nice and the way the lid stays up and stays in place is great as well.
Left drink overnight with a few ice cubes and still super cold next day. Tea stays crazy hot as well, burnt my tongue so many time haha

Had one of these for years, mostly used it to carry cold smoothies to work when I had a longer morning commute. Fantastic flask, I've dropped mine plenty of times and sure it's got some dings and chips in the paint but it's never leaked, and keeps stuff hot/cold fantastically. Will probably last another 15 years too.

One thing to note: the come in different spout sizes - this one is the smaller one. I prefer the larger spout. Larger one can be identified by the lid having the same diameter as the main body (this one being slimmer).

Serious question, how is this better than a $8 Kmart stainless steel one?
Slim enough to fit in my car cup holder. Keeps it cooler than my Thermos versions (in 40 degree heat with some ice cubes), awesome locking mechanism.
Can’t compare Chinese cheaply made Kmart stuff to a well known brand.

Was recommended by an Ozbargainer trying to use his $10 IKEA coupon where you get it for free. Is matt black, leak proof and keeps the contents hot for way too long.
I've never used the Kmart one but I've used the Thermos brand. I've had the Zojirushi since early 2020 and it's honestly worth the cost. I fill with boiling water at 9am, by the afternoon, it's still hot enough to burn my tongue. I only put water in it and take it all apart for clean regularly. I've also dropped it a few times from table height and little damage (thankfully!!!). Has not leaked either, provided I seal it properly and lock it. Thermos does not compare.
I would not purchase another brand again. Only Zojirushi.

FYI I think this one is the model with the non stick interior (with stainless outer layer). There are also stainless steel interior ones (Slicksteel) for those interested.
Is there any difference in performance? Or cleaning maybe?
Seems the difference is the non-stick interior is coated with PTFE (Teflon) while the Slicksteel uses electrolysis to create a smooth stainless steel surface for those who'd rather not have a chemical coating.
There's no discernable difference in their ease to clean or other properties, according to Zojirushi.

Does this model have plastic internals? Where the water is in contact with plastic?
The internal lid components are plastic where you drink from and silicon for the gasket.

I have one in glossy black and it chips/scratches/peels really easily, looks tatty and only had it 6 months. Would prefer a matte/textured finish rather than thin paint.
