Does Someone Have Some Delicious Tea They Can Recommend Me?

I normally drink Lipton - but lately it's not as good. It just has a dead feeling, tasteless, not a fresh and alive feeling. People online say it's off too. Can someone recommend me some they enjoy? It would be nice if made in Australia and maybe organic, but yeah, as long as it tastes nice. Thanks.

Thank you for all the lovely comments. There are lots there to choose from. I like the Daintree option because I live in QLD so it's local, and for some reason it feels fresh ha. I get chai and green chai from planet organic(?), which is the stuff from the health food shop, but a bit too pricey for my everyday, which I'm looking for. I don't know what the hell happened to Lipton. Just plain ginger and lemon sounds good for no caffeine.

  • I get loose leaf Organic Nerada Chamomile and Madura loose leaf black tea, usually when they go on special. Nature's Cuppa Organic Spice Chai Tea is also not bad if you like strong chai taste.

  • Dilmah used to sell this Masala Chai tea bag but it looks to have been discontinued. Anyone else seen this recently?

Try Wagh Bakri Masala CHaia tea bags from spice shops.

  • Twinings is half price at Woolies at the moment…not Aussie made or organic though lol. Made in Poland but my wife is Polish so she's all for it.
I generally like the trusty English breakfast but the Aussie afternoon tea is nice too.

Definitely agree with you on the Lipton comments.

    T2 Gorgeous Geisha

    • This. Pricey but good. You can find it in Coles and Woolies too.

I love lemon and ginger tea. I have it whenever I feel like a hot drink during the day but don't feel like coffee, or in the evening before bed if I don't feel hungry enough to drink a hot chocolate made with milk. It is a tiny bit sweet but mostly delightfully tangy.

    Half price at Woolies atm

Try using real lemon and ginger, its a game changer.

      • Will do. Have a tonne of lemons from the backyard and ginger recently came back in price and got a kilo ~$20. Do you just roughly put in quantities and over time gravitate to your ideal mix?

  • I think anything other than Lipton is good at the supermarket.

For the more upmarket, try Jing Tea, LMDT or TWG.

  • If you after black tea.

Lipton < anything < Dilmah < T2 * Breakfast or similar < Bop Tea (not in tea bag, next level fancy - Once you in this level, everything else taste dish water)

  • You might like to check that you're brewing the tea "correctly" to try to draw out as much taste/nutrients as possible before you go trying to pick out another brand.

Yorkshire Tea with a bit of milk

  • There're different taste for different kinds of tea. Some taste good flavor, just like jasmine tea, dragon-well tea. Some taste bitter first and then feel a little sweet on the throat.

  • Yorkshire* Tea

    (* not really from Yorkshire).

  • Alleviate from Kintonik (https://www.kintonik.com.au/)

Depends on your taste… I like stronger teas… have used Dilmah Extra Strength which is good. Recently tried Twinings Assam Bold which is even better…

  • Lately have been enjoying t2 - Sleep Tight.

    • Thank you.
I haven't tried them for a long time. I thought it was too commercial so I didn't bother but I will have a look.
I guess I was thinking English Tea or just normal tea.

  • FYI lots of brands use thermoplastics to seal their tea-bags, resulting in microplastics in your tea. Do some research on your preferred brands or get loose leaf.
