Early access?
Some games requires you to pre-purchase the game in order to access the Alpha/Beta. This is not one of the cases but you also cannot just claim it on Steam at the moment so who knows what they will do with early access in the future.
Wouldve been awesome if they made a 'modern warfare' version
Surely they can fit a couple more accounts into the process.

Thank you OP! I hope this one lives up to the great gameplay of the originals. One of a few game franchises I'm willing to throw money at.
I just played 2 hours of the campaign.
I can say that this pre-alpha build is high quality. I did not encounter any bugs. I really like the turn based campaign map, it's like a hybrid of the Total War series. The animations are quite nice although I did not feel that graphics has improved too much since 2.
Now, what I really did not like is how the damage is calculated. I took a squad of 4 tanks and surrounded an infantry squad, after a whole minute of firing the machine gun and the shells, the infantry squad finally perished. The tanks felt weak, more like toy tanks and not realistic at all. I prefer the damage system of Men of War Assault Squad 2 over any CoH game. If devs can take damage/realism aspects of MoWAS2 and implement them into CoH3, it would be my favourite RTS/Strategy game. I just know it! I will put more time into this pre-alpha build tomorrow as there's actually quite a bit of content.
agree, the tanks i saw so far doesnt create the presence and impact. mere troops can seem to shoot them down as they seem to have have far too easy access to AT weapons
And that's why you're playing this game now, a whole 1 and a half YEARS before its release date, so they can fix it all up. So make sure you scream in the forums so the devs know!
Do developers normally charge for pre-alphas? How is this a deal?
