[NSW] 10 Pieces Original Recipe + 10 Wicked Wings $20 @ KFC via App (Newcastle Only)

800

Good deal for those in Newcastle. Much better than what Gippsland gets (nuggets instead of wicked wings).

Combine with the survey for free large chips and 1.25L drink (upsized as it's over $19.95 spend).

10 pieces of Original Recipe and 10 Wicked Wings®, all for $20. That’s a seriously juicy deal. Only in Newcastle, not on delivery and not forever. Set combinations apply.

    Compo for losing the origin

I don't think anyone in Newey is upset. Too many selfish people would drive up.

      • I know some footy people that are upset (after getting their hopes up for a dew days) but also understand it's necessary.

        • Yeah, would have been nice but it is way too risky at the moment.

          • -5

@Caped Baldy: Yes all those… uhm… ONE convid deaths in Australia this year make it 'necessary' and 'far too risky'. But horse races and moving the football to another location that also has zero cases, is much safer. LOL.

            • @[Deactivated]: Actually it's two deaths now and a decent number in ICU. With the high infectiousness of the delta strain, why take unnecessary risks?

              • -4

@Caped Baldy: Two now. So the media is probably reporting a 100% increase lol.

The brainwashing from media and government is amazing. Two days ago I saw CDC data (the same place government and media supposedly get their facts) shows the supposed 'new' delta strain is more a) INFECTIOUS but b) less deadly. But of course, I bet the two aforementioned propaganda experts are only focusing on the A part, right? (I don't watch TV but I just bet that's what's happening… talking up infections but not mentioning those are less serious.)

Why take unnecessary risks? Well first I couldn't care less where it is because watching other people play sport has always been mind-numbingly boring to me. But how does moving it from one location with unknown cases, to another location with unknown cases, make it 'less risky'? Maybe it's because Sydney 160km away has less cases than people in a Centrelink branch at 9am, of a less dangerous strain than another that mostly only kills people 80+, usually with one or more comorbidities.

During Dan's foolish Victorian mandates, in the midst of… what is it up to now… 180 days of lockdowns?… sporting events with thousands of people, BLM, etc protests were somehow 'not risky' and convid miraculously knew it was banned from attending. Meanwhile prostitutes are open so politicians can dip a wick with strangers, but friends can't visit your home for a BBQ, most of your friends can't attend your wedding, those who can can't dance, and don't dare think about kissing your family in your own home. (But grope that prossie, pollies.)

The contradictions are absolutely ridiculous and reveal as much about the IQ of the people defending them, as the dishonesty of government dreaming them while they slap each other on the back sniggering in tears and fits of laughter at how gullible people are.

Sorry, not angry at you. I'm angry at lying politicians and their propaganda arm, the media for their years of excising the ability of rational thought from the public.

    Death by chicken

    • -1

You're assuming there is actual chicken in those nuggets?

  • +1

    Except don't order at Rutherford.
Worst Wicked Wings I ever had today, and generally their chicken pieces are dry, and lack flavour.

    • I never get bad KFC from rutherford jesmond always terrible for me

      • Broadmeadow is where its at

      • I usually have it for lunch, but have wased up on pieces. I just settle for a burger deal.

      • I'd imagine Rutherford has a low turnover during the day. So pieces would dry out driving out moisture, which takes much of the 'pressure cooked' flavour with it. Tired chicken could sit there for who knows how long but by 5:00-6pm it would all be fresh stuff again. That could account for the glaring difference in experiences.

yet central coast gets the lame $10 for $10 Tenders (last promo we didnt even want 10 for $8)

been getting 9 for $10.95 for past 2 years on tuesday

  • Wait so the survey actually gives you upsized chips and drinks if you spend over $19.95? Who knew! Thought it was always regular chips and drink.

    • Yes, if staff know about it lol. Plenty don't, won't believe you, and argue with you when you mention it. I've had 'managers' 100% convinced it's not a thing until someone else working there overhears and says, "Yeah he's right… it's this button here." Then it's: "Oh I've always wondered what that was for." (Rarely do you get an apology for the foot-stamping attitude you just got over it, as if you're a thief trying to cheat them.)

It does get mentioned in online forums, but less often. Probably because people feel a bit retarded repeating things, even though new people drop in all the time.

$20 for a bucket of fat and hormone.

$200,000 for heart surgery in 20 years time. Enjoy

    • 🤤 stop it…
      I’m salivating

    • Shut up and take my money…

      ♫ I don't care…..I love it ♫

    • Pretty sure medicare covers heart surgery for the vast majority of people.

      Also doesn't cost 200k, this isn't Murrrrica…

    • But what a way to go.

Actually KFC is better than it used to be. (Look up the effects of the oil they used to use.) Besides keto/atkins/etc has proven the 'traditional' (or what they made 'traditional' through constant repetition) 'food triangle' was upside down. Well before keto many people on Atkins found their doctor telling them their BP/diabetes medications were no longer required.

The amount you eat has far more effect than what you eat.

Besides… if it happens, just get fired, cancel private health care, go to Centrelink, then your doctor. (Public patients without health cover don't pay.) ;-D though they may wait longer for it.)

  • Anything is better than that crap Tuesday boxes.

    $8 for 5 pieces LOL

    • Why do people think it was bad? The 4 piece add on $6.95 hack is $1.74 per piece, and the 5 pieces for $8 was $1.60 per piece. Or to look at it another way you could get the 5 pieces for $8, or $7.95 for 1 measly fillet burger, small chips, and can of drink which barely touches the sides.

      • Because it used to be 9 pieces for $9.95

  • I have been a big KFC fan since childhood but unfortunately their quality has been disappointing recently. I’m transitioning to Broaster which has quite a few branches now in Sydney at least. They are in Newcastle too. Excellent quality and crisp. Haven’t had a bad day with them ever.

    • I’ve had Broaster at Bass Hill. Chicken was pretty good but gravy was disgusting. Also took forever for the order even though they weren’t busy at all. The burgers seemed to come out a lot faster.
I would get it again but I’d ask what’s already cooked before ordering and I wouldn’t drive past KFC to get there.

      • Kids making food no good!

      • Yeah they make it fresh so it takes a bit of time after you place an order. Guarantees that you will never get anything old.

You should try Red Rooster’s Country Fried Chicken if you’re after some good fried chicken… that stuff is amazing.

      • +1

It is really good. I feel like they need more options for family meals with the fried chicken

  • Has anyone tried redeeming their feedback survey codes past the "2 weeks"? I did the survey a week later and it still gave me a code, so not sure if it does expire as well lol

    • +1

I have noticed that when I give them the receipt wit the code on it they don't bother checking and just give me the free chips and drink lol

    • +1

Still using my survey code from a year ago ;) (One year ago today in fact lol, just checked.) I have a screenie of it on my phone. They never check the code.

    • Yes often. They used to check receipt dates religiously but most staff don't bother anymore. Sometimes they even forget to ask for the receipt. Which is fine by me because two-thirds of the time their printer is broken so they can't give me a new receipt.

  • Damn had my fix on friday night

  • I can see on the app 10 x tenders for $10 and you can get 10 x wicked wings for $10.95 so same deal as this but $20.95. Does sound way more expensive though.

    • 10 wicked wings are 10.95 anyway..

  • +1

I'm so glad that's not available in Melbourne

  • Im over kfc for a while from all that free chicken during the hunt.

Best fast food promotion I can remember.

The free dominoes app pizza promotion last year and the ongoing free eagles whopper are also good ones.

    • +1

Over KFC ? , report immediately for reprogramming !!

    • Tried three different times, two on the first day, again a couple of days later. Buckets all around me, quiet low-population area, no-one else in sight looking because it was cold/raining, more buckets around the local KFC too where staff hadn't even heard about it (so no-one was getting any buckets obviously). Couldn't get it to spin, pick up, or whatever it was supposed to do. I was standing right on top of buckets. Still didn't work after they claimed they fixed it. So I gave up.

  • Comes with Covid?

  • Never thought I would ever ever say this. But I'm a bit over KFC after winning and eating so much during the bucket hunt.

  • We got 10 pieces of chicken and 10 nuggets for $20 in our area, would have preferred this

  • -1

Lol, Newcastle sux big time, AND don't even have Hot n' Spicy? LOL Newcastle blows

  • Damn wish this was everywhere :(

  • Pretty sure I ate at least half a year worth of KFC with the recent bucket game, not sure I can touch another KFC in the near future 😂

    • Proving what a debacle that 'hunt' was. (Read my comment about it above.) A few people got a lot, most people got nothing because it refused to work. All it did was irritate me being invited to try again every time I opened the app, knowing it was broken. My local store hadn't even heard of it. That's how few (none) had redeemed any wins.
