Would Amazon normally match this price?
What do people use this kind of of virgin olive oil for? They can't stand high heat cooking……
I have a few bottles of olive oil at home but damn, everytime I cook it smokes up my whole apartment.
Definitely lower the heat! If you've ever fried eggs on butter, that butter had even lower smoke point than olive oil.
Can't stand high heat, but still you can slowly fry on it. It can be used as a condiment, instead of butter on bread, something to moisten your salad.
Yeh I normally use my olive oil for cooking. I don't eat salad, you don't win friends with Salad
I'm sorry you make bad salad.
@OldGuyFromTheMuppets: You don't make friends with salad! 🌚
You can make sauce with it to go with meat, like chimichurri (basically put whatever green herb you like and blend them up with garlic and oil), tapenade (olive and olive oil, you can't go wrong). Or braising with it, as braising requires a lower temperature than stir fry or frying. Or make bread!
Gym goers normally put in protein shake.
Easy cals if bulking
dirty bulk?
I actually stir fry with them :) iirc refined/light olive oil is pretty ok for deep frying too
You can sauté veggies, onions… You can still use it in a pan. Not sure how high heat you are planning on using olive oil.
I drink a spoon before bedtime for its acclaimed health benefits.
never heard of that…
but have heard people gargle it to loosen all calculus
check out YouTube. lots of claims
It all comes down to personal taste of course, but this is my fav supermarket EVOO. I always stock up at this price.
Spanish or Italian feel more flavoursome to me. Also Aussie EVOO is more expensive - wish it was cheaper.
Spanish and italian olive oil is subsidised by their govt, and often lower quality
OK
This one also appears to be red island.
They were unpacking it from a red island box when I was there the other week. Bottle appears to be the exact same just different label. I have been using this one for months, the Coles comparison is made in a Spain

Nah mate Red Island is the only brand that uses the oil. Only other ‘similar’ brand is Boundry Bend olive oil which is produced on the farm next door. That woolies stuff is trash in comparison.
If you have anymore questions let me know, I’m quite close to the farm and have friends that work there.
good buy
