This describes a process that probably few people know and might apply to other Philips products.
I bought a Philips vacuum shaver 4 years ago (seen on OzBargain).
It recently broke (unfortunately after the Amazon sales).
I rang Philips Australia to see if I could get a replacement part (the bladed head). They got the model from me and got me to check my device for the serial number (turned out it was on the base of the vacuum area, and only noticeable in phone photos)
They checked and they don't have stock of the heads for it.
So they said they could offer me discounted prices if there are replacement electric shavers I'd like. They agreed I could ask about groomers too.
The next part is sorted out by email back and forth.
They emailed me sending me the link to Philips Australia, asking me to look at the website and pick 3 items I'd like the price and availability on.
I emailed with 3 choices.
They emailed that 2 models were in stock and offered half off the Philips Australia prices (delivery included).
I checked pricing elsewhere on Google and decided to proceed with Philips, emailing back my selection.
They'll then send you how to pay etc and that if you send through the proof of payment to the purchasing team it speeds things up.
The purchasing team never got back to me but the groomer was here about 5 business days later.
So I got a Philips MG7770 for $105 at a time that it costs $177 - $210 according to Google.
Even if there's a spare part, you could probably still ask if they can offer you special pricing on a whole replacement item.
I don't know how old your device can be to do this; just that you do have to have it so they can check the serial number.
It might also work with other Philips products (eg kitchen appliances) when they go bung.
Mod: Moved to forum as an FYI. Satisfactory guarantee/refund policy.
My Aldi clippers broke yesterday. I wonder if I could use this bargain to help somehow!
