Doordash Support System Is Pretty Miserable

They currently have a two for one Red Rooster boxes deal going with dash pass..

My brother ordered it yesterday and only one box came so he complained to DD and they credited him, then thinking the system will work he orders it again today and only one box comes, he goes to contact support and they can't help him because they already credited yesterday, he even recorded the opening the sealed bags and sent it to them but now all he is getting is candid responses

Seems kinda scummy but expected for these types of companies and ordering RR on top of that.

Anyone have issue with DD/ubereats or the others support being ass for restaurant mess ups?

    Since it happened twice, looks like you only bought 1 box and hoping they added another one?

    Do a chargeback if you aren’t happy.

  • in fact i ordered doordash first time yesterday and have a opposite perception of them than yours.
    I ordered and ate the food before my flatmate told me i was entitled to a first time discount but apparently i should of done this before ordering,however i contacted them online and they said it was ok and they would credit me 50 % back,so a great experience .

    I guess too,it depends on the operator who replies but i imagine they have a checklist to go thru .

    As for other eat companies ,i have heard an read on here some people try to scam these companies…continually….by asking for refunds for various excuses .

    • Yeah as per righgt now he was escalated to a different person who connected with the correct team and got the issue resolved immediately with a different agent.

      guess i just jumped the gun and like all customer service is up to the specific agent on your experience and yeah most be annoying having too deal with people calling saying they got no or shit food while eating it all and wanting a refund lol

      • I sympathise, but the first and only time I had a issue with menulog it was ages before I got a refund… I was night shift hungry and was starving till I cooked later that night…

    Doordash is pretty miserable in general.

  • I swear half the time I talk to DoorDash support they send me information/links specifically for US people and I have to constantly argue with them that I'm not in the united states. They have always been good at refunding/giving credit for issues, but it's like pulling teeth and kind of not worth the time sometimes

    That's why I use Uber even if I have to pay more. Their customer service is automated and you more or less always get an instant refund if something is wrong.

    Had many issues with Menulog, it was the restaurants' faults, but support was terrible, difficult to even get a hold of, and rejecting compensation for obviously wrong orders.

    I have only had to contact DoorDash twice, both for KFC deliveries that were stuffed up (1 didn't get delivered till much later and 1 had missing item) and on both occasions, customer service was pretty helpful trying to sort out the issue and gave me refunds as well.

    Had to fight DoorDash and kfc for a month to get a refund for an order kfc cancelled.

    IMO unless you’re making use of the first time sign up offers, you’re better off with either menulog or deliveroo. Very hard to suggest Uber eats these days due to service fees and they seem to have the least promos.
