could be a collectors item if Qantas fold

  • Why is this model discontinued - because it has problems?

perhaps cracks are appearing on the wings

    • old logo perhaps?

i remember the days when ozbargain comments were actually useful

It's a consequence of OzB gaining popularity + social element to the site.

Also, lyk dis if u cry evertim.

    • And I remember the days members posted less crap advertising.

  • Great until the wheels or zip goes on strike.

  • Is the quality of it just as bad at the quality of its planes?

  • I have this luggage, or something very similar.

Had them for about 1.5 years and travelled multiple times with them and they've been fantastic.

Mind you I paid about $300 for them back then so they aren't THAT discounted.

This price is reduced as it was found amongst the scraps in Indonesia…, hence the 7 year warranty bs…, what happn'd to lifetime ?

  • I bought this about 3 years ago and can't fault it at all. The product was supposed to have been discontinued well over a year ago due to a company merger something something and a new brand replaced it. I just need one more piece to complete the set

    • Oh and I don't think the price is a bargain at all but it appears as though they have revamped the brand and the product range. If you can then just wait for mid year and end of year sales

  • These are too heavy IMO and don't have 4 wheels…2-wheeled suitcases belong in the 80's :)

Samsonite's B-Lite range for example are about 30% lighter and are all 'spinners' (4-wheeled) but of course will be more expensive!

  • 4 wheels luggage usually mean 3 wheels when it come off the carousel. 2 wheels last longer.

  • I was looking at bags recently and one thing to really consider is the unladen weight of the bag.

For example, the smallest bag weighs 2.7kg so with a 7kg hand carry limit, that means you can only pack 4.3kg of items.

Given the typical cost of excess luggage that airlines charge you, I think any extra cost that a lighter bag would cost would pay for itself in extra carrying capacity relatively fast.

  • Hmmmm seriously thinking about this. I've started traveling a bit lately (previously was so rare that I could borrow luggage) but that's changing a lot.

I've had a look around and haven't been able to find a set like this (decent quality with a good number of years warrenty) for anything near this price. Most med/large suitcases seem to cost this much alone (was looking at samsanite and Antler though)

I don't mind 2 wheels, I've used a good quality 4 wheel before and was always using 2 wheels anyway.

Anyone else know any better packages though? I'm happy to spend a bit more for better too.

  • i'm surprised this deal took off.

  • Take 2 bags of those with you and your 20kg weight limit is already filled but at least you can show your beautiful and expensive luggage.

  • Does seem a bit heavy with the cabin bag, but sounds like a reasonable deal.

Just be careful they might get grounded at short notice.

  • booooooo catch of the day boooooooooooo
