Looking to Buy Things from Kogan - Any Discounted Gift Cards or Cash Back Deals?

Looking to make a purchase of $700+ on Kogan

Am not a member of Suncorp so not eligible for 6% off on gift cards. Need to find discounted gift cards. Or a good cashback site.

Any advice or suggestions please.

Thanks

    Any advice or suggestions pls

Do not support a dodgy seller that's known to have grey market products, has poor customer support (if any response at all) and has poor practises like pricejacking for sales and profiteering during pandemic. Take your business elsewhere.

      Thanks I agree with u.

I am looking to buy the 27" kogan monitors. They have the cheapest atm. I am looking to buy 2 of them and an arm with 3 yrs added warranty, plus few cables etc.

Cant find a better anywhere local. As much as i want to support local, cant afford anywhere else

I hope you enjoy looking at the poor image quality for hours on end.

Save up more money. Buy something decent. Maybe even a second hand brand name monitor may be a better idea.

        • but the reviews are really good on their monitors.

          • @ozzyoi: Source?
I'm surprised. Okay then. Maybe they're good for the price? Idk.

            • @FoxJump: Yeah dont know if they are paid reviews.

      • Are you sure they even have 700 of those monitors in stock? Are you supplier for a school or something.

        • $700.. not 700 in qty. I will edit my post

      • The Dell ones are similarly priced when on sale.

seller that's known to have grey market products

You do realise that there's nothing wrong with grey imports, besides your warranty lies with the importer rather than manufacturer?

For the saving, it's often a great option.

except that grey imports are sometimes sold as refurbished / opened items from another region, worse yet when they're fakes.
Not to mention the well known appalling customer service some of these grey importers provide in regards to warranties.

And sometimes it just works out.

        • except that grey imports are sometimes sold as refurbished / opened items

This is not necessarily to do with grey imports, but dodgy retailing. True, dodgy retailers may deal more in grey imports.

Selling dodgy or misrepresented products is a practice, not limited to grey imports.

It can be until something goes wrong and warranty issues turn into months as then they send it back overseas which can be months be makes the small saving not worth it in the end, but obviously if it's thousands of dollars it can also be worth the risk

        • This is exactly true. It's a gamble and you need to be aware of the risk and valuate it.

        And relentless marketing emails

I get none. Just unsubscribe. I purchase regularly and the only emails I get are order emails.

If thats the only choice you have, better buy with card so refund claim will come to your account or you will be stuck with kogan credit.

    • Thx mate

PayPal is better right ? They have buyers protection

      • +2

Imagine having to use PayPal to get buyers protection in Australia 😂 why are you punishing yourself just to save a few dollars ?

      • +1

PayPal or CC … Kogan returns money to purchase method and incase anything goes wrong they will return money as kogan credit if you use gift cards.

Not much on offer besides 2% Cashrewards and Shopback.

    • i can't see anything on Shopback.
CR is only for new customers.

If you do make any purchases I hope that nothing goes wrong with them.

When you try to contact 'customer service' or claim on your warranty as you'll quickly find out why so many people are anti-Kogan.

    • Thank u

No. If you don't want another visa card, you can just open a savings account. That's what I did, and I got instant access to Suncorp Benefits.

        • Thanks mate.

          • @ozzyoi: I got access to the benefits but when i go to buy the gift card, it says need to add an active product to buy the gc

            • @ozzyoi: All good. I need to wait for 48 hours before accessing gc
