the 360 is on sale too

    • Yeah, this or the 360? What do people recommend?

      • +1

Really just depends if your case can fit the 360 and if you need it.

The advantage of the 360 is can run it with lower fan speeds and be quieter. But a 240 should be more than sufficient for most CPUs.

        • I have a Intel 10600k overclocked with a Noctua Dh15, but since the motherboard I have is not the best it wont fit in properly and only has one fan doing the job.
I'm getting normal temps of 60 and high usage temps of 85s and sometimes 90.
It's not very good. Too late, the Deepcool has just shipped.

I got this for $89 with the eBay plus Tuesday sale.

    • It arrived today, very quick!

Had one of these and found the fans and also the pump noise to be very loud. Switched to a NH-D15 Noctua air cooler and won't be going back to water cooling.

    • Yeah, unless you're going for an SFF or high TDP build water cooling isn't really needed.

      • I'm going SFF, currently have a Scythe FUMA 2 on order from Amazon but kinda tempted to cancel it and get a water cooler, possibly one of the NZXT ones with the temp shown on the water block just because it looks cool.

Was looking at these but the noise levels seem pretty high.

Fuma 2 is rated quite well. If it fits in your case I say keep it. Decent chance it'll be quieter.

Up to you if want the temp reading. I think it's a bit gimmicky. That said, the infinity mirrors look cool.

        • The Fuma 2 is doing well with the 3600 in NR200 case so I would say it depends on your CPU and the space in your case. I am replacing with NZXT as I am planning to upgrade to 5800X CPU. Fuma 2 fits at the moment but max fan speed of 1200 can be limiting for overclocking.

            @viirgon: Yeah I cancelled the Fuma 2 and bought a NZXT Z53 240.

I'm getting the NR200P so the Fuma would press against the window, plus this will open up the middle nicely. And look freakin cool, which may be the most important thing.

    • Im using 360 version of this and after setting the pump and fan to be "silent" via iCUE software, its now damn silent.

        Does it cool well though?

        • +1

          R3600 no issues. (PBO ON)

      • How long does it last before id leaks over the components? I have still functional >10y old PCs.
I'm looking to upgrade from 5y old i5-6600 that supports 3 x 4K monitors via GA-H170-D3HPro gaming mobo (I'm not gamer) & no noise (in the bedroom).
This time I might go for more powerful CPU for future Python programming. No experience with powerful cooling if I need it (eg. i7-11700K)

I have a Corsair AIO that's been running on my PC for something like 4-5 years now without a hiccup

        • +2

For the long term, go for Air Cooler.

        • +1

I've still got a first gen Corsair H100i from 2012-2013 ish running in a PC with regular use, no complaints whatsoever, still as quiet as it's ever been having changed systems 3 times in that period (or maybe I haven't noticed a slight variation). It's always had aftermarket fans on it, the bundled fans for older AIOs especially were noisy, cheap and failed much earlier and more frequently than the pump itself.

    • I also have one of these and initially the pump was very noisy. After around 2 weeks of use, it was whisper quiet. I read that the air (there is always some air in the lines of these) in the lines gets trapped in the pump and takes a bit of time to flush through to the radiator.

  • fantastic.

next: figure out how to fit that into a laptop

  • Can I replace my STi intercooler with this?

  • Even the Capellix versions are cheap too.. with a 360mm for $220..

  • It’s slightly cheaper on eBay if you have your $5 discount on eBay Plus.

  • I just recently installed the 240 version.

Using icue software I choose quiet mode and zero rpm, I thought my computer died as there's no noise at all!

Coming from using noctua which already super quiet, this is still an improvement. Recommended.
