If anyone on the fence that it's an old game or something like that BUY you won't regret

It will look more modern once the next gen patch is released later this year.

I was wondering if I buy this, will it get the next gen patch.. or do I need to pay for that again.

I do have my mate’s ps4 disk without the goty content.

        • +2

It's a nuts good game, especially for 15 bucks. Can't go wrong imho.

        • +2

The next gen patch will be free.
          Improved frames and also graphics.

  • Thanks OP, been waiting for this deal.

Pretty chuffed that I managed to pick a physical copy up for $5.

Pretty ironic that it's still sealed in plastic.

I took a while to get a PS4, and then delayed picking up this game until a good sale, and I think I finally caved for in late 2019 or so.

Still one of my favourite games, ever. Would be worth paying full price for, and the expansions are both brilliant.

If you are one of the few who doesn't already have the game… definitely worth it!

Finished it 100% twice on PC. Getting it again on PS5 (as the PS4 version). Still no.1 rpg in my books.

  • Was just outbid on an eBay auction for this game. Perfect timing, cheers

  • If I have already paid and played the Regular Witcher 3 game from the PS store, if I install this Edition, does it mean I need to start again or will it pickup my saved games?
    Sorry, not a big gamer.

    • The game of the year edition is treated as a seperate game compared to the original release and the saves are not transferrable.

      • Wow, that is annoying. It would be worth paying $15 just for the DLC's included. But I dont want to start from scratch just to play the DLC's

        • +1

The DLC's are both amazing, especially blood and wine. I also couldn't justify replaying through such a long game just to get to DLC content. Just keep an eye out for a price drop on the expansion pass or the individual DLC's… You can price track games at psprices.com and get emails when a game drops to the price you want. It also shows graphs of price history for games so you can get idea of what prices games will drop to and how frequently they go on sale.

the expansion pass (includes both dlcs) is currently $10. doing it this way allows you to keep your saves from the base game.

  • Would happily purchase 100 copies of this to give away to people if in return I could have my memory wiped and experience this again like I did the first time

  • I mean saying it was $77 is a bit misleading Microsoft :D don't you think?.. it was that price 5 years ago?

    • +1

It was $77 two days ago in PS store.

      • that's crazy marketing

  • After playing through this 4 times on PC I still could not resist picking it up to replay on ps5 with the upgrade coming up. IMO best game ever made, nothing else is even close behind it.
