Garage Floor Tidy up Solutions, Which One Is Better Painting / Epoxy / PVC Tiles / Rubber Mat

I have 2.5 car garage , floor is concrete and with minimal chips and crack but with some paint spills here and there. I was looking at various options to convert it to a mancave cum 1 car garage. i didnt wanted to pain as i have to move all the cabinets and leave it outside in weather till the paint/epoxy cures. Found some PVC tiles (husky ) in states but nothing like that is available in the country . i mean some options are there but very expensive
This guy used the homedepot (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-LEpiFFoa8) tiles and looks really nice . Closest one i could find was by carpet tiles1 in sydney 27$ per sqm (https://www.carpettiles1.com.au/garage-flooring/coin-dot-pag…). there are few others too but all seems to be very expensive.
Has anyone used any tiles from this business if yes whats your thoughts.
Also other option is to use rubber mat from bunnings but joints may not look good

other option is 91 x 91cm Checker Plate Rubber Mat from bunnings not sure how it will work with driving on it (https://www.bunnings.com.au/91-x-91cm-checker-plate-rubber-m…)

didnt wanted to spend a fortune on this project

approx total area to cover is 40sqm

@malieckal: Call it a womancave and the budget will suddenly triple.

            Source: have a womancave

    • How do you clean these things? Wouldn’t dirt go in all the gaps? Vacuum I suppose.
And why is it supposed to be better than epoxy?

    Mancave?

    Good luck with the council.

  • Paint where car goes
Shag pile where it doesn't (or lino)
    .

  • Been thinking about DIYing an epoxy floor like this next time I have a week off.

    • Do it, it’s awesome. We did ours about 5 years ago with the Dy-mark kits from Bunnings.

  • I would go with paint or epoxy. I'm not sure how those rubber tiles will hold up over time, driving over them. Our garage is floor is just painted and it does the job fine. Just make sure you give it enough coats so the concrete is no longer porous and you can mop it easily. Epoxy has a nicer finish and will probably last longer but it depends on how much you want to spend.

  • I spoke to a handyman short while back, who does epoxy jobs, said he sources his paint from somewhere else(forgot the name, wasnt Bunnings), and he uses 12l for double car garage. His quote was $1k for wash + fill concentrete gaps + paint or $2k for wash + grind + fill gaps + paint.

Makes me wonder, if the Bunnings 8l pack would be enough to cover standard double car garage ?
