    • It worked on my old 202 when I tried it years ago.
From memory it only uses one battery slot for it though, and I believe the 402 is the same.

  • If there a How To guide to refresh dead batteries for this charger? The included manual was not much help.

    • I don't know what the best method is, but I've had success with leaving the batteries in a smart charger for around 20 minutes then reconnecting. If this fails try again or put the batteries in a dumb charger.

This is assuming you are trying to revive rechargable batteries. Non rechargable batteries may explode, leak, catch fire or gain a little bit of life. So the choice there is a toasty house fire or a set of decent LADDERs. :)

      • @Loopholio Thank you for your reply.

I'm trying to revive a set of 4x AA Energizer batteries.

When you said reconnecting, is that disconnect the power and then reconnect?

        • That will work. You can also do each one by pulling it back for a second.

I've refreshed dead batteries using this method. There's also a few YouTube videos like this that also explain how to.

      • Very interesting. Now I want a propper dead battery to try this.
