While looking online for a cheap iPhone for my wife’s Grandma that supports the QR code I came across this deal from Coles.
It’s not a genuine apple refurb but it has 12 months warranty and supports iOS 14 now and is on the list for iOS 15.
A really decent upgrade from her old iPhone 5.
The iPhoneXR (64/128gb) for $600ish is about where the decent phone, battery life and new with warranty still. 6S/7/8 are too old and the battery would need to have been renewed (often resulting in a broken screen thats replaced with a dirt cheap LCD and non-genuine faked spec battery)
So a screen say $90 and a new battery, $60, brings this up to a >300 phone, or half the cost of a new, with warranty XR for a phone thats over half a decade old, with a tiny 4" screen! Not good maths or value.
Looking for a mobile should start at minium with the iPhone x/xs/xr or as the deals (like $500 off or giftcard) iPhone12mini
Or look at andriod for the $100-200 and youll get a new phone and warranty
