  • what the hell brand is blitz wolf lol

  • Xiaomi brand is cheaper.

    • This is Wifi one. No need to connect the phone to upload the record. Xiaomi ones are all bluetooth ones.

      • Yeah having wifi would be fantastic on the xiaomis after seeing this thought about cancelling my kogan order for one.

Nightmare security IoT device though. Can't imagine these are updated regularly for security. Not sure this is the type of thing you want connected to Wifi. In 2 years once relevant OS vulnerabilities are published and out in the wide, these things can start being exploited.

        • Very true most devices don't receive basic updates firmware or patches can't recall the last time my Xiaomi air filter got a firmware update actually that sort of adds to the planned obsolescence of products as once they lose support you should be flipping or binning them.

          • @DaTa: Absolutely. They all run lightweight versions of Linux or a variety of. When high-severity exploits are published publically, especially when exploitable from the web, it's only a matter of time before they get hijacked when security updates stop.

  • No google fit connection.

  • Is there any way to have a scale that doesn't use some shitty app and instead just inputs directly into the apple health app, or is that not a thing?

I hate the mi fit app, even if it does then pass on the information into apple health. I don't want these shitty tracking apps on my phone.

  • I've found wifi and Bluetooth battery powered scales run out of batteries pretty quick..
