G'day mates. Looking for a cheap long lasting Sim that also has decent data for GPS and a little bit of internet browsing. 1gb, maybe even 500mb per month is good enough for me. No need for calls, sending sms etc
Aldimobile is $5 per year and amaysim $10 per year which is good but can't do much browsing with it.
The cheapest plans seem to be at least $10 per month which is too much $$$ for my purposes.
I'm sure there's something out there I just missed it.

There isn't anything in-between currently that comes with data AFAIK.
If it's a second sim, could you use tethering to piggyback off your primary one perhaps?
I think this is a market segment that is ignored.
Like OP, 1gb a month would be all I'd need. If they offered a $20 data pack add-on with 10gb data, and 365 day expiry, I'd add it. Having the ability to recharge the data side as required would also be good.
