Please Recommend Me a Monitor for Graphic Design

Hello, I'm in search of a monitor/s for graphic design and productivity.

The ones with highly accurate colour output and resolution I've come across can be expensive, and as a true Ozbargainer and 'frugal' person (closeted extreme cheapskate), I'm hoping to find a decent monitor at a good deal.

My ideal set up would be two 27'' screens or one larger monitor (non-curved). I have a lot of desk space to work with and I'll be connecting an Apple MBP laptop.

I've been trawling sales on websites, ebay, gumtree, fb marketplace and online outlets, but the problem is I need to narrow down what I'm searching for.

I've read good things about the Dell Ultrasharp monitors which don't seem to go on sale, but the Outlet has a few options available: https://www.dell.com/en-au/outlet/shop/monitors/refurbished-…. Anything worth it there?

This link has some recommendations from a guy who seems to know his stuff, but I'd love to hear any anecdotal experiences as I'm not familiar with many of the brands - https://pcmonitors.info/recommendations/photo-and-video-edit… The ASUS ProArt PA278QV 27" looks like a good price.

If anyone has suggestions for monitor models to look for, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you :)

I'd always go for one really good monitor in the centre, plus a cheaper (maybe smaller) one on off to the side, over two medium-quality ones.

    • Ahhh something I hadn't considered… That would be great actually - especially being able to have the smaller monitor portrait style on the side.

Do you know of any good pairings?

Nah I haven't bought a monitor in years, sorry.

My main one is a 1080p 24" Dell Ultrasharp from about 8 years ago I think. Colour of mine is almost as good as the Trinitron CRT I had before that. But you'd probably want a newer, bigger, more high-res one, maybe an Ultrasharp with 10 bit colour if they have those.
