so my parents house video doorbells has died. ive been trying to find or research more info on the non-mobile usage doorbell brands. As much as i like the new tech stuff like eufy and ring, i wanted to get something more simple:
- we need wired door bell as we have the 4 wires built into the house already
- we need a 2 monitor setup. upstairs and downstairs. speaker call and video, that's it. don't need notifications or surveillance cameras
- my parents dont use their mobile much, main purpose is just to use the intercom to tell people to wait due to their old age walking speed.
- obviously the cheaper the better but wanted a balance of quality without issues, clear video and sound
ive had a look on ebay and amazon… $200-500
for the cheaper side found brands like tmezon homesecur
then we have the higher end side $700-1000dahua/hikvision/doorbird
price mentions is for 2 monitors
any recommendations?
just spend more on better and don't look back?
ebay ones are fine and does the job?
can you point out the cheap brands you have or have used that you've been happy with.

Would be a better solution than any of the ones you've found and you will be able to save heaps on labour.
