Lexar 32GB Class 10 Micro SDHC - £25.94 (~ $38) Delivered @ Back in Stock MyMemory UK

680

For everyone who missed out recently - the Lexar 32GB Class 10 MicroSDHC card is back in stock at MyMemory. Includes USB card reader.

Mod: if you can instead mark this old post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/62742 'not expired', feel free to delete my post.

With so many people buying new cameras from DSE last week there must be demand for SD cards. Please note: adapter from MicroSD to SD is not included - but I happen to have one and think this is the best GB/speed/$ ratio of all current offers.

I don't know which brand is better, but you can get the Verbatim ones from Ozgameshop for $34.99 and free delivery.

      That's not micro SD

      • OK.. my bad.

      • -1

You're correct, but for most SLR cameras SD is the right size. I wouldn't mind knowing anyones experiences with verbatim SD cards (reliability and speed on class 10)

  • how long would delivery be? Never brought from UK online before…

    • +1

purchased on 1st feb, delivered on 10th feb

      • I am still waiting for mine. Purchased 1st of Feb also…

    • It'll take 1 and a half weeks usually (depending on when mail peak hour times are… like christmas), but the most I've had was 3 weeks.

  • how long would delivery be? Never brought from UK online before…

    • +2

2 weeks at the longest, last time i bought from them took about 5 business days.

    • I ordered last time, and arrived in 5 days, UK to Perth.

  • +1 for this deal, up to +13; I've been tracking 32Gb MicroSDHC cards on uk.camelcamelcamel.com, missed out on the recent Amazing US deal and am happy with the deal, especially with the AUD pushed up right now.

My trackers for this product had the best Amazon UK deals above this price - normally GBP $26+ whereas this one was under $22GBP plus cheap shipping. Order placed, let's see if they can deliver!

The included USB adaptor should make for faster transfers, I suppose, than cabled.

FYI I bought mine via the amazon payment link.

MyMemory may be having a sale or matching someone else, because I found another third-party deal, similar price:
On Amazon (third party sales), the best deal on a SanDisk Class4 32Gb MicroSDHC is GBP21.70 + shipping. Look down the list.

    • I just bought a SanDisk Class4 32Gb from amazon.com for AUD $36 shipped. You need to be a bit aware of who you buy them from when using amazon, as not all products listed on amazon (.com or .co.uk) are actually sold by amazon themselves, they're just using the amazon marketplace. Some of them won't ship internationally either.

The GBP $21.70 item you linked to is actually sold by 'megaplatform' and they won't ship to Australia (at least not to me).

      • Just thought I'd follow up since my card arrived today (Sandisk 32GB MicroSD Class 4 from Amazon).

Sequential speeds are 17.3MB/s read, 4.9MB/s write.
4K Random speeds are 3.0MB/s read, 1.3MB/s write.

Sequential write's a bit slow, but I'm very happy with the 4K speeds, and that one's more important to me based on how I'm planning to use it.

    • SanDisk class 4 MicroSD… The thing with SanDisk is that I found a big variation of write speed (and to a slightly lesser extent) read speed. Some SanDisk class 4 microSD/SD cards I have are really just class 4 - slow, whereas some are close to class 8/10. For me, I found all the cheap ones I bought are generally quite slow. The ones I paid a bit more (bought form proper shops, rather than online) tend to be much better.

Honestly, if you buy online, avoid class 4. I did get some cheap class 4 thanks to OZB… but those cards… I don't want to use them on the devices I use regularly - they are still really slow (my digital SLR stopped recording in movie mode within 10 seconds due to the card failed to keep up).

      • Does your digital SLR manual say what class is needed? Are you sure you didn't buy the wrong card for your camera, and are now blaming the card? :)

  • Snagged one but they charged me £1.95 for "international delivery", perhaps this needs to be noted somewhere??

    • +1

The title is a little confusing but correct, as in the card is £23.99 with delivery of £1.95, so it IS £25.94 in total.
Up from me, just bought a new phone so happy to have a fast new card for it!

Just want to share another 5 % discount code that I had, It might work with you guys…

    VE5AW12

    • Thanks cuek. Just got one. The code works

    • Thanks! Pretty much means free delivery!

    • thanks for the code :)

    • Code does NOT work for promotional items which include this card.

      • VE5AW12 code worked for me yesterday! (Friday pm)
Browsing the store also showed great price on 4xAA Eneloops for GBP7.99.

  • I'm still waiting for mine. Bought 01/02. Hopefully it'll arrive this coming week.

    • Same for me, still waiting.

      • got mine today

        • That's pretty quick! On a Saturday too?

        • i mean the one from the previous sale ;)

    • The hell.. I'm still waiting for mine! In Sydney.

      • got mine today..it only took 7 days to delivered nice

      • Finally got it today. Can't believe it took 3 whole weeks.

  • What sort of speeds do you get with this when plugged into the USB adapter?

    • And in addition to this, do you still get Class 10 speeds if used with an SD adaptor? The adaptors i have lying around dont have a class rating printed on them anywhere.

      • +2

SD, miniSD and MicroSD are all electrically compatible and the adapters are 'dumb' - they just change the shape so it fits in a SD slot and makes the connection. You'll get the same speed with a MicroSD card in an adapter as you get using it direct.

Does anyone know if this micro sd is compatible and runs fine on the samsung galaxy s2?

  • Cheaper by a few dollars on eBay from reputable sellers with the search "32gb micro sd card" and ordered by lowest price. Nevertheless, a good deal!

Edit: The ones on eBay I found are Class 4 and apparently these are Class 10. Not the same product, so I guess that accounts for the difference in price.

    • +1

I don't think class 4 on eBay is comparable to class 10 from an authorised store?

      What makes these sellers reputable?

      • Those with 10000+ stars and are well-known.

Just bought one for my Galaxy S2, thanks OP.

    25.94 GBP = 38.1938 AUD

  • Mine finally arrived from the last sale. Works well.

  • Is this card suitable for a Canon s100?

  • i got mine and using it in my galaxy s2

    and its really good

    fast transfer rate

    • When did you order? Still waiting for mine…

  • Would get it if it was $38 in Australia with shipping. Haven't got a 28Degrees card (by GE Money anyways, hate them, GE too - in nuclear power business)or other nil-fee Forex card.

Think I'll hold out for a SanDisk one, they're supposed to be the best quality. Thanks for posting though, good deal for around $1 per gigabyte.

  • Anyone else having trouble copying files over 4 GB?

    • Have you tried formatting it to NTFS?

  • how long does delivery take?
