Anyone an Expert with Vulcan/Bonaire Heating?

Vulcan/Bonaire ducted heating.

House we bought is actually fairly renovated inside but the Heating system is still fairly old.

Issue we are currently facing…
We have had to "reset" the heating via the comfort control remote for it to kick back in. It reboots and pumps out the hot air but when it hits the temp we set it will stop and never come back on. Regardless of if it drops 3 or 4 degrees below the set temp.

Only way to get it going again is to reset it via remote.

Anyone have any ideas of what it could be or have possibly faced this issue before?
Obviously being an old system we will eventually put a new one in, but for now it is working if resetting.

I have turned the mains off and back on but still doesnt fix it that way.
Only way it fixes itself is if we reset as mentioned above.

Thanks team.

    The system runs on Windows?

    • She sure is no Macbook!

Sounds like you need a competent professional to undertake a maintenance service of the system.

    • Yeah, that is definitely on the cards this coming week. Just thought I would put out the question to our trusty "side professionals".

  • Is there a fault code on the screen of the comfort control wall unit?

    • Nope. Nothing at all, just says on. With the room temp reading and the set temp reading.

Those things for run years until they stop. Unfortunately they can be either simple or expensive fix and you have to weigh up the call out fees and how old the unit is.

May also be worth looking to see if there are any conversion deals from gas to reverse cycle in your state/territory.

I don't have that brand but it sounds like a problem with the thermostat. Unit is not reading the temp drop to switch back on. I have an A/C unit where no matter what heat setting you set it at, it continually runs until it is turned off manually. Still works and we only use it a few times a year so have lived with it.
