  • Would this be good for my 2ft fish tank?

  • I'm interested to know if this can help create the right lighting for Teams meetings.

It lights up the monitor and your desk. It's actually made to not put light in your face for bias lighting.

You can maybe rotate it and bounce it off the wall behind the monitor, but you can do that with a cheaper lamp and get a brighter soft light effect.

  • anyone know how good this is compared to the xiaomi one? the xiaomi one was a bit too expensive for me

  • likewise; im interested in something to improve lighting for work calls (and at a budget)

I haven't used it myself, but my research suggests that the Quntis monitor light bar is good. It was on sale for around $40 during Prime Day but I hadn't done enough research at the time to make the purchase with confidence. There is also a longer but pricier version of the Quntis light bar (52cm for ~$80).

Most of the YouTube clips that run through home office desk setups either use the Quntis or the much more expensive BenQ. There is also Yeelight, which even has a model with ambient lighting if you're into that (it has additional rear-facing LEDs that light up the wall behind your monitor).

      • Yeh I don't think I care enough for my colleagues to warrant spending much more than $50 on something; would you recommend Quntis for video conferencing or mostly for desk lighting

      • That yeelight look amazing!

I got the xiaomi one and the design is exactly the same as the yeelight one. It fit wide/fat monitor.

This one in listing doesn't seem to fit anything have a curve back.

    • The light is directed down at the monitor and your desk, it's made to not shine light in your face because that ain't good for your eyes in the dark.

      • Yeh that makes sense, seems more relevent for that; would need something more subtle and less directly/close

  • I don't like the controls on the cable. I've got lamps like that and it's annoying as hell. Prefer if the controls were on the lamp itself.
