I did a breif research, and summary is that while updates stop for this phone on Oct 2021, its still a very solid phone.

I'm replacing my heavily damaged Pixel 3 of 2 years, and its been a joy to use. So looking forward to the same one again.

  • Just noticed the 128GB version is for sale for $80 AUD more.

  • shipping is USD 21? so total is 170+21 = USD 191 ?

    • Updated. Also includes $20 in taxes.

      • so total is USD 211 = AUD 278 ?

  • Verizon Variant

    This concerns me.

      • What?

        • Why does it concern you.

@datzed: Because I don't know what it means, how the device might be different, if it's carrier locked, you know all those things you get concerned about when it's a Carrier Vareiant and googling isn't helping clear that up.

            • @DonWilson: Text updated. Link clearly says its unlocked.

              • @datzed: Ah, thanks.

              • @datzed: someone in last deal said verizon variant … something something…. xda dev … smthg smthg… custom rom… smthng smthng … cannot …someting

  • Highly likely Pixel3 won’t receive android update from 2022. Reference: pixel 2 stopped updating from this year

You get what you pay for. IMHO still a solid phone for under $300.

    • +2

I think there would be custom roms though

  • Single sim.

OP says "a little cheaper" but isn't it more expensive than the $188 deal last time?

  • How would the warranty work on this? Anyone has any experience with warranty claims?

  • Will this get the Android 12 update later this year?
