I've actually seen micro cracks down the middle of the screens on the various display models of the Z fold 2 that ive played with at JB hi-fi etc. Doesn't inspire confidence at all.
Fold 3 is coming in 2 months
Hopefully there's another drop on this one when it comes out. The Fold 2 started around $2900 and starting coming to around $2000 in March. I imagine the Fold3 will be following suit and starting at $3000 again.
I think they will be cheaper than last one, considering they will mass produce it instead of note this year, and its not a novel tech anymore. It might be 2000 from the first day
Anyone else bothered by the inner camera being placed so oddly? Why not put it in right in the corner?
It did sometimes affect videos.
Surely they could place it in an area where black bars would be when watching video 🤷♂️

Got one on the earlier 35% discount https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/624654 Love it. Haven't had a tablet before but no need now the phone does double duty. Cant notice the crease when using the phone. Cant see my self going back to a standard sized phone. Best thing is how far away I hold it when reading including when walking with it. Multiscreen stuff is awesome. Would prefer waterproof but they will get there. For $1650 definitely worth it considering how much time I look at a phone lol.
I have a fold 2. After 9 months, the crease in the inner screen developed cracks. Within a couple of hours of noticing the cracks the inner screen went all green and then just stopped working.
Samsung said I broke it and told me to pay $220 for a new screen (discounted from $1000) even though I didn't break it.
There are reports around on the net of the same thing happening to other people, some within 48hrs of receiving their phones.
I am taking actions further currently.
My advice don't get a Samsung fold until the folding screen is proven to be reliable.
