  The amount of beer is the only bummer in this deal. Two per hour and one per order is a bit lame.

    its not bad. you are getting a good deal here. i think they honestly couldn't care too much about how much beer they give away. they can not write unlimited beer for RSA reasons and so they enforce 2 an hour for 4 hours (8 beers) which is a good amount of beer to drink in a night. at $5 a beer ( i don't know too many places you'd get a beer for $5 in surry hills) but 5*8=40 and that means you can eat all the pizza you want for $5. its not a bad night out and the pub is a nice place. gets a +1 from me

      The coupon is for 2 people, so it's ($58)2=$80, which is a damn good deal.

        check your math $5*8 is already for 2 people (or 4 beers per person per coupon) so 40$ beer value,

        From the deal:

        Limit 2 beers per person per hour for a maximum of 4 hours

        So… 4 hours with 2 bears per hour for 2 people is… 16 beers total. Assumed $5/beer -> $80 worth of beer.

        You might even get to fit in a slice of pizza.

  The problem, when these "social" deals are actually good value, is they get oversold, the vendor probably got cheated into doing it to begin with and will end up trying to water down the offer or denying booking etc.

    Yup, which is one of the reasons I avoid ones where you have to declare the voucher beforehand like the plague.

    This one doesn't state so explicitly but the T&C make it play out like they need to know before hand as well so I'm weary.
