Under the edge of the headliner, and down the pillar rubber seals. Pretty simple really.
Beg to differ. At least in my case. If you're going to feed the cable through the rubber grommet from the hatch this is the only way. Otherwise, you'll have the cable hanging from the rear to the front. And BTW, I wouldn't try forcing the cable under the headliner on the side of the SUV between the C and D pillars. The edge of the CRV headliner slots between u shaped plastic that is the exact thickness of the headliner holding it in place. Otherwise, you will risk breaking the plastic or bending the headliner.
In this video, it appears there is no u shaped plastic so you can slide it from underneath the headliner along the C and D pillars, that's if you have a RAV 4.
