I was looking for a Condenser Microphone, and was looking in the $100-$120 range, but then noticed the older HyperX Quadcast on sale at JB HiFi.
At $165, I'm not sure if it's the cheapest it's been, but it certainly felt like a deal based on the features it comes with:
- Gain Control
- Monitoring ability
- Shock Mount
- Built-in Pop Filter (Although reviews say it's not that great)
- Touch to Mute / Unmute (Red glow means live)
The newer RGB model sells for $250+, and whilst you can control the colour and uses a more modern USB-C connector, I don't think there's much difference in audio quality? Some light googling seems to indicate this.
