Be aware these are USB 2.0 only

    • -1

Based on the spec for the Baseus USB-C cable , output is USB3.1
      do you have any reference?

      • Hi OP, thanks for the deal
        I think USB C to C is USB 2.0
under the product page, the transfer rate is Max 480 Mbps

      • +2

On your website for both the USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C it specifies 480 mpbs which is USB2.0 spec. I got some of these in a previous deal & can confirm USB2.0 speeds. Works OK for charging though

Thanks for the info, updated the details on the post.

    • I believe the Baseus C to C are mainly used for charging than data transfer
USB C to C supports up to 60W power rate which is good enough for large variety of laptops (including Macbook Pro and Air M1)
USB A to C supports QC 3.0 and is USB 3.1

The last item (non Baseus) USB C to Lightning is also USB 3.1

    • Express Delivery ($169.80 ).
    • Insurance Option for express delivery: ($11.96)

    What!!?!!

    • how many cables did you add to cart? regular shipping should be free.

      • Hey Mate, can you please get the shipping complexities looked into, generally higher amount of items you order the cost of shipping goes lower but in your website it is opposite.

Also, the shipping cost should not increase a small satchel nationwide from Australia Post upto 5 kg is $9.40 so if I buy 30cables and those can be crammed in the satchel the price should be $9.40 nationwide, if you buy pack of 100 price is lower by 9%.

Also the insurance cost is $2.50 for every $100

Unless business model is based on making profits on shipping and insurance, the shipping costs don't make any sense

        • Why not just order in sets of 4 cables to get free delivery?

          • @CodeXD: And when the offer ends , you end up paying shipping for each item you add in cart and all of them get shipped together !

            • @Curiouscat: If you're paying full price, there are better places to buy them from.

Another one of those "Just be aware" items
Baseus lightning cables are not MFI certified which means they don't work with CarPlay (should be OK for charging phone/iPad though)

    • There are no Baseus lightning cables in this deal

      USB-C (USB 3.1) to iPhone/iPad (8pin) - NOT Baseus Brand

      • USB to iPhone/iPad (8pin)
        0.5M
        1M
        2M

        • Ah thank you. They didn't use lightning or 8pin in the name so my ctrl+f didn't find it.

  • The 2m USB C to USB C is $5?

    • Yes, when you add any 4 or more into shopping cart

    EVERYONE!!

Please be mindful even though it's QC3.0, it has a low Amp output:

    0.5m & 1m: 2/3Amps Max
    2m: 2 Amps Max

You ain't charging things that quickly at that output.

To be honest I think it's overpriced, you can get 5Amp cables for similar price ranges.

    • +1

These are 60W cables and 3A,will get you that 60W. The 2m cable may be a tad under 60W.

I'm not sure of your definition of quickly, but 60w is plenty for me!

Some proprietary charging tech does need 5A for lower wattages, so do check what your phone uses, but for usb pd charging, these are good.

In terms of price, $5 for a baseus cable is "decent" if not amszing. I don't bother with brandless/nonsense branded cables as the $2 saving isn't worth the hassle.

They are strong but super stiff

    • +1

That's a bit rough to neg vote an item that's "strong but super stiff". A neg vote is usually for a bad deal, poor quality, overpriced, price jacking, dodgy or misleading claims.
It would appear that over the last couple of months about half your votes are neg votes. You don't neg vote something because you don't like it.
I don't like McDonalds but I don't neg vote every McDonalds deal, as the deal maybe a good one for someone else and I don't want them to think its a crap deal.

      • -3

Buy this one instead https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/401477979482?var=671150159225 Also from Baseus. These have the right balance of strength and flexibility.

I bought a pair of these cables on the deal for my wife and it is unusable due to cables being overly stiff. Then I had to buy more. So, I disliked this product. I -ve it. Other ppl liked the product, they +ve it.

You do realize that you have to write a comment or mention why you -ve vote a deal.

    • Garbage, I have one of these sitting on my desk right next to me, and can loop it comfortably in about an 8cm diameter, 7 without much effort, and 6 is getting tight.
No, it won't do right angles… but seriously, what kind of arc do you need from a cable?

Happy to purchase again, and just did: One for my car, one for my room (as my new phone's case won't work with wireless), and 4 to sort out the kid's mess of phones and cords. My only gripe is that the ones on special only come in specific colours.
