  Not exciting at all, suppose a 10 day tour to Europe would cost averagely $5,000 minus $100 discount = $4,900 which equals to 2% discount, so do you call this a deal on Ozbargain??

  Also I would shop around and could find cheaper options.
  No deal here……….

  Contiki are STRUGGLING. Don't go through a travel agent, go direct and negotiate. They'll drop prices by 20%. Pay in Euro for an even better deal. Saving $100 aussie is chump change

    2nd that, travel agents are almost redundant.
    If you're competent with a computer you can save yourself way more.

  Do a google search and buyer beware.
  1. They expect payment about 2 months before the tour, so they effectively hold onto your money for a few months so there goes half the $100 saved.
  2. Make sure your travel dates are 100% firm. Refunds and changes to itinery are non-existant for Contiki, even months out!

  As others have said, pay in Euro and don;t be afraid to book relatively late if need be.

    you'd have to pay at the same time, regardless of whether they have a special on or not, so your 1st point isn't valid…

    Refunds and changes to itinery are non-existant for Contiki

    and pretty much any other tour company, so get insurance…

  Have done two Contiki tours. The first was European Encounter, in 2007. Absolutely loved it. And we wrote very positive reviews.

  The 2nd tour was Spanish Spree in 2011. Absolutely HATED it. Had the worst tour manager ever, and effectively in her hot little hands was almost $90,000 (45 Passengers x $2000 each) and she totally and singlehandedly ruined the tour/holiday for 80% of the people on that bus. Her rudeness and unprofessionalism was, well, it was something to behold. We try to just laugh about it now but its hard as she ruined so many people's hard earned and precious holiday time. Not to mention the wasted $$$.

  Wrote to contiki, and have had zero response. Zero. Will never do a Contiki again, and neither will I recommend to my friends. Although once upon a time I was a big fan!

  You can keep your $100. I know I'm ranting, and this is probably the wrong place to do it, but as I said, I had zero response from Contiki. And so I vent.

  Question for the Rep, the description sounds like there are no exclusions to this offer however when I called, the lady I spoke to said that this doesn't apply to last minute deals, is this correct?
