Have one. Cheap garbage quality. Mountain Designs is a brand bought and raped multiple times until its finally ended up with Spotlight Group owning it.

I mistakenly bought one of their softshell jacket and it was garbage, I should have refunded it instead of keeping it.

      • Was it the Perisher?

        • Bingo!

          • @Speedz: You serious?! I have been thinking of getting it but the 40% Anaconda at $132 is abit steep! Is it that garbage???

@shoelover: Well the Perisher Jacket I got the cutting was terrible.

              • Shoulder and armpit area is too narrow, ended up pulling my inner layers. If you go one size up then it's too big, you look like a coat hanger. (I'm Asian too so I don't have the broadest of shoulders or barzooka biceps).
              • Poor insulation, you really don't know until you wear it on cool days and it's really annoying with the above point means it's too tight
              • Breathability, I fine the jacket don't breath well either once you warm up and with the above point means I find myself constantly in between trying to keep cool or warm. It's not a nice feeling.

Look it's a good looking jacket, materials is OK but seriously I would have purchased a MacPac instead. In fact I wear the MacPac Uber 99% (yes I know it's a light down jacket) of the time and looking to donate the MD Perisher when my wife isn't looking.

              • @Speedz: Thanks for the feedback. I found it abit tight around the waist for a S size.
Oklah, I'll consider the Macpac Sabre.

Geez, yeah they were good back in the day.
      Pity about that.

As per other comments, I too got stung by buying one of those jackets only to learn the hard way of how poor quality it is.
