Excellent price, pity I just bought a lower spec one, if only I had waited a week

The R7 is about $400 more.
What is the performance gain on the R7 compared to R5?
Link pls?
For general browsing and usage I wouldn't say it's monumental difference
Need to spend $1k+ for general browsing?
it's not about R5 vs R7.
It's about this being the older mobile Ryzen 3000 series, which doesn't perform anywhere near that of 4000 or 5000.
Good price for a 16 GB machine.. Good Deal! thanks OP
To people that have this is this a good laptop to get? What is your review on this
OOS.
That was quick
Looks like it's out of stock now
3 remaining in stock now still.
Thanks. 1 left.
From reviews, this is ok for ultrabook. Light and small.
But in term of work horse, it isn't too good. CPU too weak. It is about an i5.
Not good for gaming as well, eGPU too weak.
But price is OK. You can't get anything this thin and light for this price range.
But for larger laptops, there are bigger options from MSi & ASUS.
I bought one back in 2019? when the SL3 was first released.
Nice screen, strange resolution ratio, the touch part of the screen was nice, but it felt a bit flimsy at times.
The aluminium body gave minor tingles on the palm when it was charging (apparently this is common with Macs?) - I didn't like that one bit.
Note the M.2 NVME drive is a strange size (google it and checkout the youtube vids if you want to upgrade it).
I don't know if I would buy another MS laptop or surface. I really like my Asus G14 as a do most things laptop (it was easy to upgrade the SSD)
The tingles mean the laptop is not grounded. Often happen with devices that don't have the ground pin.
I have a laptop 1 and I get the tingles on the lid every now and again
With my new sl3 15", I get the tingle almost everytime on the palm area.
Not sure if that's normal or not
Does it have a ground pin on the charging cable? if it does it means the ground pin is not properly plugged in, if it does not then can't do much… Each time I feel it with my laptop, I just unplug and plug it again making sure to wiggle it abit on the powerboard plug
@F1ProjectOne: This is what mine looks like

@Samsungnote10: Yeah I can't see any ground pin on that pic, hence why you feel the tingle.
Keep checking the stock every now and then. I managed to get one after it had gone out of stock 2 times. Seems like they are releasing the stock in small batches.
All the best!
Edit: back in stock again ;)
That happened to me and I got in and secured one
Anyone tried to upgrade the storage on this? Is it NVME SSD and is there any seal to remove to access it?
This has the old and underwhelming Ryzen 3000 APU
