KFC just launched their Pokemon like game, you can go hunting KFC prizes and most likely get a free ultimate box for your first time, some got slushies etc :)

The first bucket will be available around you with first play. Just pan your camera around to find the red big spot, tap tap tap it then spin spin spin for a free win ^_^
Can stack up to 3 prizes at a time and each will expire in 72hrs: gonna do lot of walking for free KFC prizes lol

      Its not that I see no buckets, I see about 3-4, but in neighbouring suburbs. Regularly. But rarely see 1-2 across the whole day new my area, whereas i saw about 20+ every ~ 20 mins during the first 3 days.

Finally spun an ultimate box but couldn't press redeem now and it didn't add to my stash .. funnily enough the regular chips and freeze didn't have any trouble

Why should I be playing fair if KFC's not going to?

Edit: now the whole app is fried. Ha.

    - Firstly, red screen of death
    - Map not loading
    - Map and stores loaded, but no buckets anywhere (even looking quite a while away)
    - Buckets finally loading and being able to action the notification gets to the actual spin and it keeps throwing errors.
    
    Most likely when a prize is finally spun there'll be further errors with stage as before

      I have a theory but will need to look into it. But nothing you can do about it.

      All errors will still result in you getting your prize of you click return to the app, or you get to respin again.

        Nope. While it is true it does offer a respin if that then doesn't work or it refuses to load it won't offer it again.
        Definitely didn't have my prize in my stash and cannot fill the last prize slot.
        
        I showed/explained how if from the "winner" page if I add to stash it doesn't add and manager still honoured the deal so very good customer service has saved the day of a shit app.

        I lost an Ultimate box on a flip the the coin when it didn't appear in my box. This might because I flipped two things in quick succession.
        Either way I got another Ultimate box from another flip, about 5 flips later. But I was able to refill the last slot.

        @imcold: Weird, I logged on around 2pm today to find my "bucket overload" message despite only having two prizes in there. Regardless, one of the two spun ultimate boxes (I'm assuming the second because I didn't spin further after that) is in my stash now.

        Is the prize slot now showing Empty, with all other prizes intact? If yes, then sadly you have lost the prize due to the "Flip bug". I have lost an Ultimate Box as well and waiting for resolution from their Support.

        @porleng: Not sure if it will work in terms of flipping, I've found a large variation there - weirdest being today.
        Got a regular popcorn chicken, flipped it into a regular chips which disappeared (didn't care)
        I spun another bucket (Freeze lol) to find it had reappeared back as a reg pop chicken again so flipped it again into a Zinger Stacker which stayed.
        
        This app truly has no rules or predictability.

This bloody thing is a scam. I ‘won’ a pepper Mayo slider (cheap shit) flipped the coin and won some tenders (less cheap shit). Then the whole bloody thing disappeared from my bucket stash.

  Prizes disappearing during flip has been reported by many. I also lost an Ultimate Box when I flipped a Freeze and I'm regretting (although nothing for me to regret here lol). Have contacted KFC support, there is a dedicated category "Prizing" under the section "Great Buckethunt". No response since 4 days but I'm hoping they credit one Ultimate Box at least.

    Well maybe I was just getting real lucky, but I was getting streaks of 4 or 5 wins in a row with very few losses in the first couple of days and now the last 21 flips have only had 3 wins. I'm definitely not winning at the rate I was earlier on.

Has anyone figured out the redeem issue? I only have 1 local store (rural qld) so I can't try a different one, I've got prizes in the stash about to expire but when I try to redeem it just says the full price and discount applied at checkout (which isn't true…)

  I found its either its app bug or the restaurant is doing something odd. One restaurant will not deduct everytime when I change to another kfc, it will show as free.
  
  Just make sure price goes to free and don't proceed to payment. I still dont know the true reason behind it

  This is such a good promotion when it works but too bad by the time it all fixes, the promotion will be over.

  I have the same problem. Though if I change the order to a different restaurant (too far to drive to) the discount is applied. so I think it's an issue with my local restaurant. Funnily I noticed, I always get an issue when ordering on the ap that says 'loyalty is experiencing difficulty' which I didn't get when I tried the different restaurant. It's been 4 days now, ya think they would get it sorted, although I expect there are some barriers as their development team probably don't speak English and are high school interns that have never seen a KFC restaurant.

I got 4 prizes somehow? I used to only have 3 but after I reached 3 I wanted to swap one so found another bucket. When I swiped I got an error and it didn't swap and instead added a 4th slot in my stash.

I can log-in on KFC website, app says it logged out for security reasons.
Now app doesn't accept the same password.
I reset my password via website because it didn't work via the app. Then I can get to the 2 factor authentication via the app, but it doesn't send the email.
Delete app, try to login again with same password. Now it says login failed.

Mine is stuck in a loop where it lets you "pick up where we left off" and have another spin. Just keeps going but always win something not worth claiming.

Anyone been down to the local KFC's of late? So many kids hanging around on pushies chasing free freezes and reg chips lol

        @Chchnu: "Chance" is the keyword. Unless you score $50, $100 or $200 Gift Cards which are extremely rare, the 15pc Chicken is better value ($27.95).
        
        The Ultimate Box is $11.45, so yeah it may be a gamble, but again if you lose, it could well be reduced to a $1 Freeze.
        
        Plus, there's this thing of the "flip" prizes disappearing. Many have reported and I have lost one as well. I'd rather stick to what I've got if it is as good as 15pc Chicken or Ultimate Box, unless of course, if you are unable to redeem it due to circumstances such as too far to drive to, or unsuitable store timing (say on a Sunday) otherwise.

        @djoz: Well if the coin flip is 50% chance for something equal or better then flipping the good prizes is really worth it as you mentioned the next best thing after the 11.45 ult box is a 27.95 15 piece or even cash. And if you flip a 15 piece correctly you guarenteed At Least $50. So if the reward for a correct 50/50 flip is at least better than double its worth.
        
        Ive been just flipping anything lower than a burger so im not playing optimally.

When I click on the buckets, nothing happens, besides the Colonel commenting.

It worked fine the first time, a few days ago, but not since then and I have tried multiple times.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Tap the + on the bottom left to zoom in (if it is greyed out, press the - first, then +). When you're close enough, it should disappear, and then a pop up saying there is an experience nearby (you don't even need to tap the bucket).

    For me, the order stated —
    "1pc Original Recipe Chicken X 15."
    
    I was able to edit the order and choose all 15 as Hot & Spicy.
    
    Pro Tip: Prior to tapping on "I'm in the restaurant", walk up to the counter, show your confirmed order screen & Handover the survey receipt to score Free Medium Chips & Medium Drink.
    
    It works as the Order value is still > $4.95, just that it's the coupon paying instead of you.

        @domo653q: Doesn't matter. Enter ur usual store number, or any store number. Enter any random date and time (within past 3 days). It will work. Complete the survey and write the code on your receipt.
        
        The staff rarely even validates it. Today they didnt even take my receipt, it is still with me (for next visit), yet got the Free Medium Chips & Medium Pepsi.

        @domo653q: Ah, a true ozbargainer always has a couple of receipts in their wallet from past purchases. No worries if you dont have. Just observe the counter, they usually keep an empty box for dumping the receipts when others collect their order.

        My store is fairly new so staff are still clueless. I just show a screenshot of code after I've done the survey and said "I'm John Doe to pick up an online order, can I get free chips and drink as well?". Only 2 times the staff grab a manager and they put it through (different managers). Every other time, they know what to do.

        2 teenagers in this store, I didn't ask for the manager.
        First lady didn't know at all, called the other one and she said it's not for online orders. I asked twice, pointed at the flyer they had and then dropped it.
        Anyway, if she would have said " you need to spend $4.95 at least" that would have been more acceptable reason, since I only picked up the free stuff.
        So I didn't "spend" at the store.
        It is what it is.
        (And my partner was also picking up a free order.)

  Been this way since Friday. Either:
  
  1) The BOTs have spun all available buckets, only 1-2 rarely appears across the whole day.
  2) Either automatically or manually, this clause of the T&C has come into effect:
  
  The Promoter will monitor the rate of virtual buckets being revealed throughout the Competition Period to ensure the prize pool lasts until the end of the Competition Period. If the rate of virtual buckets being revealed is at any stage projected to exceed the total prize pool available, the Promoter may vary the location, timing and number of bucket pins in each set so as to contain the rate of virtual buckets being revealed and to ensure that the total prize pool is not exceeded.
  
  The Promoter will also monitor the virtual buckets being revealed throughout the Competition Period to ensure that the number of each type of food prize being won in that proximity is not such that redemption of the food prizes within the immediately following period might cause that store to run low on stocks of the relevant food items. In that event the Promoter may vary the location, timing and number of bucket pins in each set so as to contain likely demand for food items at the relevant store.

Tried to claim some fries and freezes with the kids and the app is saying only 1 claim per day but haven't claimed anything today. I grabbed some late last night. Is it per 24 hr or resets after midnight?

Also haveny seen any buckets locally since yesterday morning.

You can actually click redeem on a freebie, but don't buy it yet. Then when it resets, redeem another freebie and claim them both in different transaction
