Never played this game, but the description brings back nostalgia from playing Mario Golf back in the day

This is a fantastic game and well worth it at that price.

Awesome game, kinda like SNES Zelda vibes, but golf. Takes 10-20 hours to get through, silly but sort of engaging story line, fun progression/challenges and kinda addictive. Well worth it in my opinion!

  • This game is fun, good buy at that price!

Amazing game by an Australian team with great bits of Aussie humour inserted at various points as well. Definitely worth buying

  • I did not like the graphics or the gameplay. It's a well liked game but have a look at the gameplay before buying.

Highly recommend this game, although I did get to a certain spot and got stuck and never picked it up again. I was thoroughly enjoying it until that point. As usual I can't be bothered trying to re-learn the game now. Would still recommend.

Great game, looking forward to the sequel Sports Story.

This is a surprisingly fun game, well worth the money. And it's supporting local game devs!

Also hot tip: I found handheld mode is better than playing in TV mode due to the additional video latency that introduces (making shots harder to get perfect).

  • Awesome game. So much fun.

  • Awesome golf game! Finished it first week of release and enjoyed it very much. Story was great too!

Oh gosh, I know nothing about that game but the title somehow reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons with the golf game… 'Do you want to play again? You have selected no' 😂

    • That was funny!

This game is freaking awesome, paid $25 and was still so worth it for the price.

Really fun game, developed by an Australian team. I’m looking forward to the next one, Sports Story.

Played this game a while back, great RPG game and would highly recommend if you enjoyed OG Mario golf.

Story is fun/whacky but good and dialogues are amazing. Great use of rumble and there are some side quests as well. If you do get it, pay special attention to the overworld map. Also, Aussie developer!

Only issue I had was the difficulty spike in the last tournament and never got to finish it. Essentially difficulty came from very strong winds, lots of water hazards, need to hit very far distance which made it too difficult for me. Ended up watching a YT video for closure.

Would still tell my old self to get it.

  • Looks like Stardew Valley with golf.

  • is there a multiplayer?

  • I looooooove this game. One of my fave switch titles. Bargain at this price

  • Great game on the switch. Well worth the purchase at any price. Will buy Sports Story day one. Wish it was out soon.

  • I was really excited for this and loved the few couple of courses then my interest just kind of fell off.

I think the things that kept me from continuing were the constant pauses for dialogue (starting an event, teeing up for the event, being reminded of what the event is, getting through the first part of the event…) and the feeling of repetition across events. Don't get me wrong, the events don't actually repeat, but e.g.: hitting a golf ball into five lakes to feed fish feels mechanically similar to hitting golf balls onto five islands to wake up a different animal

Would still recommend picking it up to try it out though!

  • "sheer excitement of golf"

at first i laughed, but then i bought it anyways

Highly recommend this game. It's a fun golf game with RPG elements, which are occasionally humorous and the game was developed by Aussies. Suitable for all ages. I love it so much I bought an official t-shirt and it's the only wearable merch for a Switch game I own.

  • Must-buy for Switch owners

I bought this game when I saw it posted here (thanks OP). I've been playing it all weekend and it's really a great game! Would definitely recommend!
