Opinion on This Gaming PC from Centre Com

Hi Gaming gurus,

What's your opinion on this gaming PC, most on the Centre Com website is sold out, this one is reduced by 300 bucks ?

800 dollar CPU
2k Graphics card.. looks all ok to me..

Anything worth noticing, or any better options you reckon ?

Thanks

Shows as sold out for purchase online, and no stock in all locations bar 3 which say "call"

    • I think I got last one..

    • OK/good build for 2K monitors. Depends if you wish to upgrade to 4K monitor. GPU easily upgradeable.
    • 2TB HDD. Depends if you are happy with HDD load times or want to go for SSD.
    • You will need to upgrade the motherboard and maybe RAM if you want to later upgrade to intel 12th gen or later.
    • RAM speed (3600) is faster than what the CPU can support (native 3200) and is supported by MBO which is good.
    • Depends if you think liquid cooling is reliable / hassle free.
    • Can't comment on pricing as GPU prices are skewed and I upgrade rather than buy pre-builts.
    • Also depends on the games you play and quality settings but I would be happy with it.
    • Thanks man for your feedback, I tried comparing parts and total was coming around 3800 something. Got a monitor too..

      Gigabyte M27Q 27" IPS QHD 0.5ms 170Hz FreeSync KVM Gaming M

I think cpu is latest so not looking to upgrade before I sell.

Can u tell me bit more about monitor that would be better for this setup? I ordered above monitor. Ips kvm switch for work etc.. gaming is every now and than not pro, little bit editing perhaps.

        • Well 3070 and high rated CPU combo are supposed to be fine for triple A games on a 1440p monitor. So more than enough for less demanding games. 27" monitor is supposed to be the sweet spot in terms of size for a 1440p. So a 27" QHD should go well with this combo. I bought one of the OzBargain favourites - Dell S2721D (27" QHD) when it was on sale. Just waiting to upgrade the GTX 1060 to a 3070, and the CPU from i5 4690 to maybe an 11th gen or 12th gen.
        • IPS has good colour and viewing angle but usually slower response time but 0.5ms is good for an IPS. The Gigabyte also has a good refresh rate (S2721 only has 75 Hz) so it would pair well with a good GPU.
        • Also seems to have a good colour gamut for photo editing.
        • Looks good. If you want to know more Rtings is a good review website: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/gigabyte/m27q
        • To get to the 175Hz you probably need to use a Display Port cable rather than HDMI. Hopefully one comes with monitor.
        • Also, I think like the Dell gaming monitor, it does not come with in built speakers (or I couldn't find the spec after a quick look). So you may need to get a set of speakers or use the ear phone jack.
        • If you want to go to 4K, then 32" monitor seems more appropriate for that resolution but then you would want to bump up the GPU to say 3080 or higher. You would also need to check the PSU is adequate but I think 750W is ok for a 3080.
          Cheers
        • Thank you man, for your time and response. I think for my needs this is just sufficient. As I may do occasionally lgaming bit not really looking to to do pro. Happy with 1080l or 1440. And some editing now than. From what you told monitor is a great fit for me too. Also the kvm switch is handy to plug my laptop on days I want to work from home.
