FYI, it's older 2020 version (60 Hz OLED, Snapdragon 730G) was already voted best tablet for the money here :

Judging from the 2020 version the global version and rom probably will be out in a few months. Sadly, Australia won't get it, if ever. Lenovo Australia did nothing about the 2020 version.
im sure we can get the rom from a forum once its out

I tried to order this from banggood, they never shipped it in a month, just ordered the global rom from aliexpress.
So what is the global ROM? What are the options there?
The china ROM is english and chinese languages only, has some preinstalled chinese apps that you can't remove. There is also some widevine issues with amazon video. Global is multilanguage.

@Mobe1969: I got mine yesterday, Global comes bootloader unlocked without the widevide cert. This is worse imo.
@goig986: Ah lucky I checked back on this. I was just looking again at getting one. So are there any decent rom options for these then?
From reading online this is only something related to whether you can play streamed DRM stuff from like disney netflix etc? I guess to me that isn't something I've ever used a tablet for so that personally isn't an issue.
@Mobe1969: It's either keep it with global rom or flash it back to the stock CN rom. With an unlocked bootloader some apps may not work. Without Widevine L1 some streaming apps will be at a lower quality. What do you want to use this tablet for?
@goig986: Cheers. I honestly use my current tablet a LOT for remote desktop to windows machines and VMs, and web browsing, AV control, etc. Another reason I was looking for 11.5 inch also for remote work. Basically as a remote desktop client it works better than a hot bulky windows tablet.

I can’t fault this on raw value for features to price but I have some concerns:
The stock at the moment is Chinese stock ROM, how far is it till global rom/ or does this actually not really matter?
What do we do about warranty? I assume there’s no aus agent and won’t be any for a long time?
