[PC, Steam, Epic] Civilization VI - New Frontier Pass 75% off $14.99 (Choice Membership Required) @ Humble Bundle

150

For those of you that got Civ VI: Platinum Edition in the current Humble Choice Bundle offering you can get the latest expansion, New Frontier Pass for $14.99
(75% off). The price will only appear in your cart.

Once purchased you get the choice between a Steam key and an Epic key.

Edit: I'm pretty sure you need be subscribed to June's Humble Choice Bundle to get this price. Can anyone confirm?

Edit 2: People have stated that you don't need to be a have a Choice Membership to get this price. It may be that you just have to have received the offer email. Apologies for not mentioning the email. It completely slipped my mind as the focus has been on their initial (false) advertising/regional pricing. I would say that if you have gotten Civ VI PE but not gotten the discount, send an email to support and see how you go.

  • Can you still get the platinum edition from humble choice?

    • You should have all the way up to maybe July 6 to pick up this month's Choice Bundle as that's the first Tuesday of next month.

    • If you don't get the pricing after getting it through Choice I'd send a request through to support. Sorry for the confusion. This whole offer was pretty shambolic from the start, not unlike this deal posting. :P

    • Yep, as @ozbs25 already identified the current bundle should be available until about 3AM AEDT on July 7.

Note that the Platinum Edition includes everything except this content, and between the two of them you currently get everything that's in the recently released Civ VI Anthology (currently AUD$70 on Steam, AUD$56 on the Epic Games Store with the current sale coupon, and price set to rise next month).

The Choice+coupon route is a pretty good deal even if you already have the base game. If you don't get the coupon in your account and want the New Frontier content, the cheapest option would probably be the anthology on the Epic Games Store.

    • I had offer in email this morning to resubscribe to classic for $9 for 3 months. (I assume that's USD so about $15AUD)
But when I click the link to resubscribe the only options is premium for $18…

      • Seems to be affecting more than just you according to reddit. Again, maybe contact support if it doesn't sort itself out. Does you coupon also say offer ends June 31 and on July 6? Maybe try to contact support a bit before then.

  • I'm subscribed but price is not appearing in cart :(

    • Even weirder, when I try to add it to the cart now it's showing as $8.99.

Edit: What price are you seeing?

      • Showing 50.96 for me :/. Oh well the platinum price kind of makes it worth it

        • Did you get an email? Maybe you do have to click on the link inside it to trigger the coupon? Sorry, after the saga of the pricing discrepancy I forgot all about the original email.

          • @ozbs25: No email yet but I just subscribed today. Thanks for mentioning it now it makes sense. Hope I get the email soon.

            • @Ostrk: You could just maybe contact support and ask them to give you the coupon. I'm pretty sure they have been bombarded by this offer, and not all in a positive way. People from across the world have passed on this offer/advertisement on to agencies like the ACCC.

              • @ozbs25: Contacted them, hopefully they can send me the email.
                Thanks

Pretty sure this is a targeted offer, with coupons added to the account of targeted users and an accompanying email (EXCLUSIVE: $10 for the New Frontier Pass! Complete your Civilization VI Anthology). I'm a Choice subscriber, unsure if this was targeted at just those or all Humble Bundle accounts.

The email blast advertises "$10" but the cart price of AUD$14.99 (tax inc.) once the coupon is applied is close enough.

There was a problem earlier where the AUD price was about 50% higher, but that's been corrected now.

Thanks, I encountered that issue and thought it was because I'd paused this month as I got Civ 6 from Humble Bundle a few years back.

      I'll pay $15 for this, not $25.

I'm not a Choice subscriber but received the offer. No idea why, as I cancelled my subscription years ago and cannot recall ever having purchased a SM Civ game from Humble, but I am ticked to receive "special Humble Store sales".
Shows as AU$59.99 when clicking through to the linked page, but applies a coupon when adding it to the cart that brings it to AU$14.99. Was also able to apply my existing wallet credit to this, and then received $0.56 back to my wallet after purchase.

    • Thanks for your comments. Wondering if this was just sent to everyone.

  • Would this work for my Civ 6 game on epic rather than steam?

Also, what's the difference between frontier pass and platinum edition?

    • You can get an Epic key if that's your preference. I had to commit to one of the two after I purchased. Do you have the Platinum Edition? Does this work with just the base game?

    • Platinum edition comes with everything released before the frontier pass, each pass includes about 12 months worth of dlcs.

Platinum Edition includes the base game, the Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions, and the initial batch of scenarios released in 2016/2017.

Frontier Pass includes only the six new scenarios released in 2020/2021. Four of the six scenarios contain some content that's only available if you have one of the expansions.

There's no overlapping content - Platinum + Frontier Pass = Anthology, which is all of the content currently available as of June 2021.

      • Oh damn, I just have the base game - would frontier pass not make sense then?

If you have the coupon and the base game, you still get 6 DLCs at a pretty good price. The Steam Store description shows which DLCs have content that won't be available if you don't have the expansions. There's still a few new game modes, and a number of new civs and leaders available.

That said, if you have the base game and only $15 to spare, subscribing to this month's Humble Choice to get the expansions and the older DLC on Steam might be a better deal.

Did anyone get this email who is not planning to claim it? If so, would love to send you money for the key.

    • I'm in the same situation.

I bought the choice bundle around 40 hours ago particularly for this deal and still haven't received the email/coupon yet.

I would gladly send money through for a key.

I bought it right as this post was made and did not get the email. Just got a reply from their support and they will not be giving me a coupon. Sad :(
Third in line if someone has keys they're willing to sell :d
