  The local press version of this ad (in Hobart) lists Canon Powershot A580 cameras for $99. This is a very good price, about $50 better than usual.

    They also had the Canon Powershot A470 last week for $117, wonder if that has come down even further? Both good buys at that price.

  Remembering that what they advertise as HD plasma, means that its 1024x768 which as far as I'm concerned this isn't HD.

    You get what you pay for though. For $999, it is a good price for a Toshiba 42".

    And I think Harvey Norman has their hands tied as well because they can't not advertise it as a HD coz every other retailer is doing it.

    Oh no…not this argument again. The resolution is definitely better than SD - you get 768 lines of vertical res and it just has rectangular shaped pixels to get the 1024 horizontal. Definitely not the best for a HTPC but get a panel with good processing such as a Panasonic or Toshiba, it's a decent panel for digital TV and DVDs at the end of the day.

  cheers for the heads up. I always go to get the 50Pack CD-Rs for $10 and there are some pretty decent DVD deals as well.

  I got the Wireless Router for $38! It is a D-Link DIR 300, if anyone wants to know. I have my cable internet modem, one wired desktop and one wireless laptop connected. You can also add security (i have because heaps of our neighbours have networks, i dont want them stealing it!).

  Sticker said $69.95, so big saving!

  The sandwich press for $25 is also pretty good deal. Half the usual price.

  yep the Kambrook sandwich press is a pretty good deal. Was $64 now $25.

  I'd seen the ads on TV, but taken no notice (because it was an ad on TV). It was your post here that made me prick up my ears.
  I scored the last LG DVD/VCR at HN Carindale (BrisVegas) today for $99.
  Sticker price was $179, though they've been selling for around $140-$150 for a while.
  They where also selling the equivelant Samsung for $99 and had plenty of them left, but I much prefer the LG.
