Thanks, prefer the diet version. Has more of a ginger taste than the regular ginger beer.

  • Or pick it up at colesworth on special for buck a bottle

S&S brings it down to 0.99c a bottle. This is the OzBargain way.

      • Free delivery too

  • I stopped ordering these from Amazon. Soggy sticky box with broken glass on my doorstep. Reported it and Amazon wanted me to take that mess to an Australia post to return them, including the smashed ones!!! It just wasn't worth it for the handful that had smashed - it was more the pain of cleaning it up that made the savings not worth it.

How many times have you ordered them? I've ordered them 5 times in the past and not once had a broken bottle. It's only a matter of time I guess haha

    • +2

ive ordered 10+ boxes by now. No damages.

      • Only once. So two ways of looking at that - I was just unlucky and it was a one off - or a 100% failure rate :-)
It was more that I was a bit stunned that Amazon actually wanted me to ship sticky splintered broken glass back to them, usually they are really good on returns/refunds.
By the sounds of it I should give it another go - thanks. I hate hauling bulky stuff like this back from Coles/Woolies, so I really want this to be reliable.

The return process is automated, no one actually reads the text you enter in.
By default if there is something wrong with the item, they want it returned.

I believe there is a support chat that I have used before which is an option where you can explain the situation and someone will actually read it.

If you speak to CS, they refund without wanting the item returned if food/drink related.

Had a 36 pack of Coke delivered, one can leaked, full refund and kept the lot.

        • +1

You could have tried submitting a return request (for damaged item) to generate the return barcode and then drop the whole lot to the nearest parcel point for them to return. Amazon would have loved that.

      • Same here too. Never had issues

    • I had broken items in the last deal (spiced), it never made it to me, it was returned whilst in transit. Sh*t happens, doesn't mean i won't order it again. I got a full refund automatically.

      • I had that with a carton of Coke - just got a message that it had been returned (before I saw it) and a refund posted.

Amazon’s refund process also seems to work without returns. I had a faulty set of headphones - they sent me the barcode for return but processed the refund before I got to the Post Office.

        • I've had it happen with two cartons of coke now. One actually arrived all saturated as one can had been a bit squashed, they just gave me a refund and said keep the rest

    • The one time anything got damaged was when they had a buy bottle and get a free 50ml bottle of alcohol. The small bottle got broken, and Aus post refused to deliver as package was likely leaking.

Amazon sent another one within a week.

Aus post delivered the damaged parcel 2 months later, and the larger bottle was fully intact.

All other ginger beer, coke and everything else is always safely delivered. Over 50 boxes sample size…

    • I have had a broken bottle as well.

I prefer the Aldi diet ginger beer, it's a bit more 1 dimensional and the ginger isn't as fresh, but it doesn't have that weird artificial sweetener aftertaste. It also has more of a ginger bite I reckon

    • +1

      WIll give it a try…

Yes, I prefer the Aldi diet ginger beer. It's good value as well.

  • With S&S can you just place the order once than immediately cancel?

    • +1

      yes

    • +1

I specify 3 months for next delivery, and then cancel it only after I get the first one.

Never had an issue and I ALWAYS cancel subscribe and save.

  • I wish they did diet versions of drinks without the sweeteners. I'm not a huge fan of the taste and would actually really like a more neutral ginger beer and still avoid the sugar.

    • I think it needs the sugar to make the ginger beer actually brew.

Never tried the diet version, but the reviews look promising… ordered. Thanks OP.

  • I wish they’d bring back the Diet Sarsaparilla.

The non-diet version of these drinks make you an instant paid up supporter of the sugar industry. (I like the farmers - just don’t need that much sugar)
