Meanwhile still getting updates on gear s2 haha
Gear s2
Didnt they stop supporting samsung pay few years back?
Nope, still supported.

I've been pretty happy with Tizen so not overly worried about wear OS, my gear S2 went years without getting an update also.
Unless there is some killer feature wear OS has that Tizen doesn't I'd say the Galaxy watch 3 is a good deal at this price.Google app store .
Most of the apps you would need come with the watch I can't see what the Google app store would offer that would be enough of a game changer over Tizen. Most non specific watch apps are terrible and Samsung probably makes the best watch centric apps….Bixby aside.
Tizen os is so mature and works very well, like a well oiled machine
Then why would samsung move to wear os?
Bigger market share?
Wear os is barely a blip in the market
Mature? Then why do you have to keep manually forcing your phone to connect to your galaxy watch so that you can get notifications? This happened with me regardless of which phone I used. Galaxy Active 2. I checked online, and pretty much everyone has the same problem. I like the design of the Galaxy watches, but not the connectivity.
This has to do with your power settings on your phone. What phones?
Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and iPhone 8. The watch is fine while you’re in range of the phone. As soon as you walk out of range, it will not automatically reconnect when you come back in range of the phone.
@ForkSnorter: Do you have wifi and bluetooth switched on on the watch? I have had Samsung, Pixel and iPhone 11 with active 2 (had 3 of them due to smashing screen, and manufacturing defect), and my wife has one and had Pixel and now iPhone. Disconnected regularly with iPhone, but turned Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and all power saving off and all is good.
I upgraded the phone from s8 to note 20 5G but the watch doesn't connect to the new one.
Have used every galaxy watch never had this issue, seems like a settings thing.
My Active 2 works flawlessly with LG V50, various Galaxy phones (S9, S10, S20 Ultra)
good watch, not great price.
Might want to read this first before you commit $500 (a significant amount) on a Tizen OS - based Samsung watch.
