  • I'd be a bit concerned putting any sort of heating elements near my neck, ngl

    • Regarding this, you can rest assured that this neck massager has passed a number of safety tests and medical certifications, and can be used safely and without any discomfort to the body.

    • just pray to the Lord and youll be fine

      • worse case scenario, it can be used as a tattoo remover

Or there’s this for a lot cheaper

Edit. Similar functions except this one has 1300+ sold with a 4.5/5 average review.

Edit 2.0. Same product use to be advertised as 49 rrp now jacked up to 69.

Yes, the Ali Express one is cheaper but it also looks cheaper. Wouldn’t buy that one at all…

        lol. "looks" cheaper. noice one.

  • Order one for the Mrs. for her birthday. Thanks OP!

    • I own one of these, use this as an additional gift. Not the main gift

  • +1

Hey OP can you confirm if the light is infrared or near infrared? The health benefits of near infrared are much more numerous and well-studied.

    • theres infrared?!

      • Yes, it's in the description and a visual representation in the picture (as you infrared is not on the visible spectrum)

    • +1

I doubt there's any infrared transmission - the contact points are metal and they heat up. They aren't thin enough to allow infrared to pass through it (as in nanometres) and it's way too cheap to do anything else. I'd suggest the intention is that this provides a "similar" function to infrared "physiotherapy", not the actual real deal….

      • would that be somewhat in the gray area of false advertising?

        • It would be if the contact points were the source of the infrared - but it isn't, it's the bit above, in-between them.

But whether this particular implementation does anything useful is still a valid question.
