Nope, lots of chemicals & pesticides used in standard cotton crop cultivation let alone in processing/bleaching the fibres https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_cotton

Every product on Spotlight has terrible reviews though, I really wouldn't rely on the star rating there.
Will the fibres in this quilt split and shed line crazy?
I had a Biozone wool quilt that did that and I had to throw it away..HI fibres won't shed.

Pretty heavy - good if you're needing the extra warmth. We're using a 200gsm wool quilt which is decent in a reasonably well insulated Melbourne home. 500gsm is more of a 'Canberra winter with poor insulation' sort of weight.
