Is it worth the extra $75 over the previous gen model? I thought most reviews say "same shirt" type of thing

The only difference between this and the previous model is the 'Trueforce' gimmick which is basically just a vibrating motor in the base. I'd save the money and put it towards load cell pedals or some other upgrade.

      • You're right. Better spend it on the manual gear stick with the difference. lol

  • i just bought the g920 this week, and the only reason i would have prefered this is that the xbox version of the g923 comes with extra controls and led shift lights that the G29 had.
the new version has improved feedback but i think it just basically amounts to a built in rumble pack in the rim so it can vibrate for engine noise / gear shifts. Up to you whether these small improvements are worth the extra money. I probably would have considered it, but wont be losing any sleep over missing out :)

Such a shame you have to pay one console manufacturer or another to buy a Logi wheel these days.

No way this is or the G29 is worth $150 more than the G27 used to sell for (with a shifter) when the primary change was console compatibility and their controller button patterns.

Glad to say my G27 is still going strong, which is something to be said for their build quality. Bought from Logitechshop as well, many years ago now.

    • can you use g27 it on the newer consoles or only PC?

      • Only PC. There could be adaptors in the future, similar to the Drivehub but currently the G27 is PC only.

      • I am using g27 on my ps4 with minimal issues using the drivehub system. Every now and then you get a lock up but in game it works well. I've read that initial testing on the ps5 had time out issues with the Bluetooth verification on ps5 if using a ps4 controller (the ps5 controller doesn't work at all) but if you buy a cheap 3rd party kids controller, it works seamlessly. I haven't had a chance to test yet though.

        • how much it cost to get the drivehub?

  • I am going to hold out for the Fanatec DD. I had a Logitech wheel a while back and they were pretty hopeless at ensuring support in the longer term. Wheel and pedals were still going strong, but no support on PS4. Will pass on Logitech from now on.

    • Do you know if Fanatec plan on releasing a "prosumer" DD wheel in the near future? At a cheaper price point than their current range.

      • They recently announced one, the CSL DD for $600 AUD

        • pre-order was open 2 days ago and I missed it as I qualified for the 1st wave. All sold out now.

"The fact that CSL DD wheel hub is not compatible with any PlayStation consoles and can’t be upgraded for future PlayStation compatibility could be another factor for its lower price"

        True?

        • Sony requires a particular 'chip' to be in the bases to be compatible with the Playstation. So theres no way to upgrade existing bases.

        • Not compatible with PlayStation? Wow 🤯 I was hoping to pick it up for GT 7.

  • PAPPSS2 (purchase via app)
