Much better price than the 100 dollar logitechs from 10 years ago

Note there's no built in mic.

    • +3

Was about to buy one, didn't notice that

    • Bugger I've been eyeing these. What is with the mic hole?

    • Thank you, was abt to pull trigger

    • +1

It's for the best, typical mic in a webcam is terrible. If you are buying an external webcam for your laptop, it means you want better quality than an integrated one so it is normal to assume you will be using a headset for better audio quality too.

they should still let there be the option to use the webcam mic.

Not everyone wants to buy another mic to put somewhere on their desk.

        • True, but it is generally a good idea to buy a headset as even the cheapest one will be way better for both hearing people and making them hear you.

        I want for desktop.

    • I'm actually quite thankful for that, because if there were, people might try to use them for Zoom meetings, and we all then have to suffer the feedback from not using headphones or a decent mic, haha.

  • $1.41 for shipping

  • Thanks, got it.

720p isn’t really that great - specially when you can get a 1080p generic brands at the same price. It will be heaps better

    • +3

By heaps, you mean +360p better?

        have you used this ??

i'm looking for a new camera for my twitch streams

        • +1

          No, I haven't.

Just saw it from a quick google search

    • Can only assume you haven’t used the 1080p generic ones. The lens are poor and the colour rendering is strange.

      • do you have some comparison pictures you can share?

        • No, but the 1080p generic I have is garbage compared to the Logitech c920 I have on another computer.
Lens distortion makes it look a bit like a fish eye, and colour auto white balance makes skin tone either orange or sickly green.

  • Also.. this wont fit on most monitors I dont think

    • +1

The gap looks too narrow for most monitors and the cable length is short. Really for laptops without a camera which is mostly just a few Xiaomi and Asus laptops.

      • Seems like a super niche category.

  • Bought one for Asus G14

if you have an android phone you can use droidcam which you can use your phones camera as a webcam

    • But then you can’t play games on your phone during calls.

      • +1

you can play games on your computer though

  • Brings Apple quality webcams to any laptop! :)

(Damnit Apple, improve your webcam quality on your laptops)

  • Any advantage in buying from banggood compared to aliexpress?

    • I wouldn't mind opinions on this question too.

  • +1

Any recommendations for a 1080p one looking to upgrade my 720p Logitech

  • is this suitable for monitors?

    • Only if it's very thing or you're willing to use tape

    • Might need a usb extension cable since the attached one is 50 cm

    • damn … that's actually not bad footage … thanks :D

      • Yep, especially considering how much software and firmware in general struggles with dark skin, also.

  • Wish they had something that let me mount on top of the telly and convert it into a big screen for those video calls, either on whatsapp or Facebook or whatever other platforms it will support. We can get a wireless headset that will BT to the telly. An app that coordinates all that.
