I made a review video on YouTube.

      Cheers

      • Nice video. I was surprised the absorption phase of the charge accounted for 100ah of the full charge.

Thanks, the charger in bulk phase charged 101.3Ah, and in Absorption phase charged 1.7Ah

    • not even close to an Enerdrive

      • in what way is it not close to the Enerdrive?

          The price

  • Why are the 200ah ones so stupidly long?? - Size: 522x238x223mm (LWH)

    • +1

Because they're built from the same 3.2v prismatic cells, 200ah has twice as many number of cells so they can only stacked horizontally or vertically. Whichever cost less is the way to go.

It is amazing to see the price decrease of the LFP batteries in the last couple of years. You can get a really decent $100ah for 1000 mark on you can go with the cheapeies for 450-500.

  • jonathanxing17, didn't you post a deal earlier this year but with a different brand of lithium batteries?

    • Hi, yes we have another brand. The brand name is Kasan, it has lower specs batteries and the price is more cheaper.

What's the agreed superior lithium battery manufacturer in Aus these days?

  • Stupid question potentially but how practical and cost effective would it be to build a DIY Powerwall using a set of these wired in parallel?

It seems like mandatory grid connection charges are the biggest thing holding back off grid living in many parts of Australia now.

    • I’m considering picking up a 300Ah set soon (just the cells, you can get 280Ah on AliExpress for 700ish) - the answer: don’t DIY unless you really know what you’re doing.

Battery + inverter + bms + charger isn’t hard. But what if it has a fire at night/while you’re away? Will the system you build support 100-200A if all the heaters are on? How does your system handle smart charging? How does your system handle one cell going bad?

.90 cents a day to be connected to the grid isn’t much of an issue - to go fully off grid, your $20000 system needs to be upgraded to $40000+ or you’ll have to rely on a generator backup (neighbour’s will love you).

Fire risk of Lifepo4 pretty much the same as lead acid, which are most likely from wiring or electronic components, not the battery itself. The issue is not the fire but the cost of going off grid, even with $2 daily supply charge it will take a decade or more to break even.

Can these be run in both series and parallel or a combination of both?

    • +2

Enercore can run in series up to 48V. And infinite parallel connection.

  • I would jump at something like this if it could be used under-bonnet as an Aux battery.

Why can't it? Is it the heat issue? Would having it in the cabin fix it?
